1 Month

I have been clean for 1 month, in way that does not sound like very long, for another its a eternity. I suffered thru over a 2 year addiction to Lortab, it was my wake up call every morning. I would get the coffee going and pop those pills, let one melt in my mouth for a quick response. Those days are behind me now, I know that I can and do not ever want to go back. My life is alive again, my job performance is back, I am being a good husband again. I don't easily lose my temper anymore. I still have the same daily problems that I had before I stopped using, but now I can actually deal with them. The first two weeks were hell with tha W/D's and wanting to still use. I no longer want those pills, I know that I can NEVER even take just one and I am fine with that. I used a quick taper method. I was using 4-6 for 2+ yrs, when I stopped I went 5-4-3-2-1-1/2 and then none. I say the day with 1 and 1/2 were as bad as the first day clean.

I am sleeping again and moving my life forward. I am looking forward to the coming holidays with family. I can never get those days back I wasted by using, but I can say that I will never waste anymore. Take that first step to stop using if you have not, do NOT try to do it alone, get support from a group or someone who understands addiction. These boards help, but talk to another person one on one!

Neighbor.........Good for you! I can read the happiness you feel in your words. I can so relate. I am on day 24 and feeling pretty darn good. My daily intake was about 2-3 times what yours was and I still have been able to get to a place that feels 90% normal in these 24 days. I am so thankful and grateful to be here today. I'm really proud of us and what we have done. For all of you our there thinking about taking this step yourself, DO IT!
Keep it up neightbor! Have a great holdiay with your family and the best New Year ever!

Neighbor,
Way to go!!! 1 month is an accomplishment... I remember the days when I was counting the months. It is a BIG deal and you should be very proud of yourself. It is great being pill free again huh? Not having to worry abut how many pills you have, when your next appt is and the can't leave the house without making sure you had them in your pocket.... Yeah those ball and chain days are over for you and you should get a gold star!!!!!! Keeep up the hard work...Rachel
Neighbor, way to go on your 30 days -- a great milestone. Sounds like your life already has gotten much better. Keep that positive attitude! M.

See, it can be done..

Way to go.

I'm almost 2 months clean. Doesn't it feel liberating and free not to take pills everyday, count your pills, having your life revolve around pills.

I was sick of a pill running my life too!

Good luck!
