hi everyone,
I have a long habit with herion which has taken up 1/2 my 26 years of life. 5 years ago I was started on the methadone but it was never enough to curb the cravings of the herion. Now I am using a 1/2 gram of herion everyday at the same time of 6pm and I am desperate to get clean and cut down off this methadone. I sort of stumbled across this site and the messages i have read and the support you give one another is amazing as you don't find many people inthis world who have battled herion and won. Today I am hoping will be the first day of my life as I used for the last time this morning and by the time i wake up i will have managed 24 hours which will i hope be enough motivation to get me through the next 24 hours. I really would like to talk to anyone who has managed the battle or even if you are thinking about making that life changing descion

Hi Moc, and Welcome..:) The boys should be waking up soon and can probably give you better advice but in the meanwhile...how much methadone are you on ? Im on it too, and I find I could go up a bit more because I crave too sometimes on it...Im glad youve decided to try and get clean; or at least to try and use the methadone properly. Are you currently going to any meetings or seeing a counseler or something to help out ? Its a hard long battle but it can be done...I will be H free 11 months in April...I was a IV user , seems unbelievable; but Ive done it, and so cant you :) Welcome., stay with us.:)

Moc pal welcome to our small but tight worldwide forum,i presume yer in the U.K....im in Ireland.....i like you used on top of my methadone on and off for the first couple of years....im on 80ml. and have been for the last 8/9yrs.only in the last 2yrs+ have i got proper clean,no gear or benzos......i just got bored of the same bulls*** every week,also i have a 10yr.old daughter who i now raise on my tod,so it wasnt just my life i was slowley destroying but if not gone unchecked hers also.Moc ya can do it ,i like Con above was an i.v user,and like that wonderful lady methadone has saved our lives and given us hope for the future.Yer not gonna feel really sick coz ya got the juice inside ya,but still a half gram is a heafty enuff habit to break outta.......get back to us mate all the best..........Davey
hi there wow that was quick to be honest i didn't think anyone would reply well that been 12 hours since my last smoke and feeling ok. I am on 100mls daily but for some reason i seem to split it 60 in the morning and 40 at night does anyone else do that? I will do this as i am sick of giving all my money away to people who have plenty. Yes i am in the U.K although i am scottish i live in england. I will post again tomorrow and i hope that i am as strong as you both seem to be. i will enjoy our chats from now on so take care of yourselves and your families

Not a user myself, but the mother of an IV user who is now in recovery...clean since December and on Suboxone for her cravings. She was given methadone while in treatment (detox) and did not care for it, but has been doing real well on the suboxone...can't use on top of it...if she wants to use she has to plan it and stop her subbies three days before, so she really has to want it cause she's got plenty of time to reconsider. Traded her subs for H for a couple of days back in December and then felt like a damn fool, so she's back on her meds and working hard on her sobriety. She's 22 next month, but we've got all ages and persuasions here, so keep coming back and you'll get all the shoring up you need.

Hi Moc, M&M's got a good point...have you tried Subs ?...some people do better on them...read your other post; day 2...your doing great ! :) Keep on keeping :)
