Love it Sista! How do you work the 12 steps of recovery as a solution to problems in daily life that just seem overwhelming at times?
Well I had this whole long post .....LOL...but it went away!! Poof!! Oh well guess I wasnt suppose to post it....anyway....

As for your question, My life can be very overwhelming at times. Just the other day, I stood in the kitchen looking around at all this stuff I had to do around the house and just sat down and couldn't do a thing. I was so overwhelmed..I have to keep it simple. That goes for everything in my life. I tend to complicate things. working the steps? Well I work the first one perfectly....I know I am powerless over alcohol and drugs and my family and how they act. I know in active addiction my life is totally unmangeable....sober it can be unmangeable if I let it. I dont usually notice it till I am in the middle of it. That is a plus cause I use to notice it after. So that is progress. And as far as insanity....I definetly was insane when I drank and drugged. I can act insanely if I am not doing the things I am suppose to do sober. If I am not praying or attending AA meetings. Reading the BB..step book...calling my sponsor.....if i dont do these things I can act really insane. Then I have to stop and pray and do first things first. I hate those damn cliches...but they do work...Keep it simple is the best one for me. Well hope this makes some sense......the other post I had was good to....LOL...at least I thought so.....have a great nite

God bless
gina
