We moved from Illinois to Coppell, TX last summer. Since moving here, our 13 (now 14) year-old daughter has been drawn into the world of drugs. She is now in a Drug Rehabilitation Center in Corpus Christi, TX.
We are asking for assistance to help our daughter fight drug addiction. We have created a website to tell her story and get support.
Please take a moment to look at the site we created to help our daughter, Cassandra (Cassie).

Thank you so very much and God Bless!

My heart goes out to you. The thing is that Cassie's problem is yours as you are legal gardians. I am at a loss except to recommend Nar-Anon. This is for you parents.
About asking for money on your site, I doubt very much that you will get help from a bunch of recovering addicts, such as I am. Besides, there are too many internet scams that look sooo honest and clear of any doubt(like the Nigeria scam), eh?

This is a post I should not even answer.
Parents should be more active in thier kids lives than to allow a beautiful young girl of 13-14 meet and hang out with Mr. Addiction and his cousin Drugs as you put it in your website.
Help??? NA is the answer there. And if it rehab you want ... contact your state governement as there is PLENTY of options especially for kids of parents who are running out of funds.
And yes .... this most likely is a scam and I hope nobody is stupid enough to donate to it. But the shere possibility of being true angers me even more than it being a scam.

It sounds as if Cassie is on her way towards recovering. She has taken the first step by admitting that she has a problem.........and it didn't even cost a dime for her to do that ! Her next step should be to get to a Narcotics Annonymous meeting......and that is also FREE. I am a recovering addict who has found a alot of help and support at these meetings and none of it has cost me a penny.
And as a recovering addict, I too am leary of giving anyone money. I used to come up with all sorts of lies and scams to try to support my habit so, forgive me for being a little skeptical about this part of it.
But I will give you my best wishes and prayers for your daughter.
GET HER TO A MEETING and maybe find one that welcomes visitors ( those that are not closed to just addicts )
