Well i am at my 2nd day without a drink, and thats the first time in 23 years, and surprisingly enough, even though the tremors and sweats are there, i have a smile on my face, for sure as the days pass the intense craving will be even stronger than it is now, but at least i am trying

BK, two days ~ that is huge...remember to take it one day at a time though, because that's all that any of us really have...Even though Ginge has 17 months, Val has almost a year and I have almost 2.5 year ~ we are all in the same boat ~ we are just taking it one day at time (hope it was okay I spoke for you guys...) Hang in there the physical symptoms get better and better. I pray each morning that the obsession for alcohol and drugs be removed for me for just that day and when I hit the pillow at night I say a prayer of thanks.
Hey congradulations bovrilking are you thinking about any other contact people like AA to help you through? Keep posting as there is a lot of eally good suggestions on these pages and it comes from people who are all staying sober in many different ways. Keep up the good work.

good on you for taking action - keep posting and let us know how you're doing.

take care of you
