30 Weeks Without A Drink

I still feel bad when does this get better.
your doing great. It will get better
it takes a while to physically feel better.

It also takes a while to be comfortable with putting one foot in front of another with out the sole purpose of propelling yourself to the liquor store.

The worst of the battle is over..
now is the tiring and sometimes dishearting job of re-learning life.

Congratulations on making the biggest part of the battle.
Slow moving from here yes.. but your rewards will be in leaps and bounds.
Thanks I will never drink again in my life I went throught this crap in my mid 20s took 2 years to get better now in my early 30s i had enough. Im fully commited not to drink again. I just want my health back!!!!!!!!!!
Hello, well honestly, and I just made two years on 11/22/05 I did not feel really well until about 6 months ago (at about 18 months). Also, I still have good days and bad days, but the good days far out weigh the bad days. Mentally I'm still challenged but that is all coming together too...I've heard it takes about 5 years to really start to be whole again. But, everyone is different and we just have today, remember it's one day at a time, nothing more. Try not to get discouraged. Are you exercising, I heard that is very helpful. I've slacked off on that, but know I did feel better when I was physically active. Take care.
Thanks for the replys.
i haven't had a drink since 81 and haven't missed it for a day. just not something i do. (but,i relapsed on pot and have had continuing trouble with that). alcoholism is a terrible disease, physically mentally and spiritually.
