Hi everyone!
I'm home for a minute, and wanted to pop in and say hello. I saw where my husband told you guys the news on our impatient little boy, thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.
Jack is in NICU at a great hospital here, I believe its 6th in the nation. The NICU is like going into the very high tech future or even being on another planet almost. The environment there is unbelievable. And on that planet, the babies are alien looking, Jack being the best looking alien of the group of course :)
Theres so much to tell, but I really don't have the time to get into everything. Jack is so tiny, he has no body fat at all, his head looks way to big for his tiny body, hes hooked up to every machine imaginable. There are a million potential problems, but so far with everything involved, Jack is doing great for what he has gone through in just his first 6 days of life. Hes a fighter and a survivor. I just KNOW he'll pull through and later in life I'll tell him about how impatient he was. Call in mothers intuition, a 6th sense, whatever, but I do know this in my heart to be true. He may be tiny, but hes strong inside.
I hope everyone is well, I'll catch up when I can. Most of my time will be between the hospital and trying to give my oldest son some sense of stability. I think my 6 year old needs me now more than ever. I have no idea when Jack will be coming home, I have yet to hold him. I can't wait to do that and form that bond with him, but somewhere inside of me I feel he knows. He knows we are here...here waiting for him to come home.
I miss you guys, you're in my thoughts. Love you all.

Amy!! Congratulations Mom. I'm so very happy your son Jack has arrived, albeit early. I Just know he and you are in God's hands and your son will be home as soon as he grows a bit. Please take care of yourself through this somewhat trying time and get well very soon. You'll have a realyy great story to tell him about when he was born! I'll be praying for your family every day hon. A home with a baby is a happy home and I envy you...(in ways!). God Bless dear, Beck

Awwe Redd... you made me tear up. Your family is so lucky to have you for a wife and mom. I hope you get to hold Jack very soon. I'm sure he can already feel the love. I didn't get to hold or see Dani and Jesi for two days and it was torture, so I can imagine how anxious you are to get your hands on that precious baby. I'm praying for a healthy and speedy homecoming.

Amy, you are the sweetest person! with all the events going on in your life, you took the time to share with us about little Jack.
I guess that's why we worry over and care for you so much, you're so deserving of it.

Amy, It is so good to hear from you, and to hear you spirit shining, still and again!!!! You amaze me, woman. I got choked up again reading your heartfelt words. I am so glad you got your baby boy that you wanted. I told Mike, if he has even half of the strength and determination as his mom, he's going to be just fine. I am sure he does. Your love and all the prayers are going to get him in to your arms and out of that hospital very soon. I can feel it, too.
I am so proud of you, chica, and so happy for all 4 of you guys.

Your right he was impatiet but most men are. LOL I know he is going to be just fine. It's sounds like he is at a great hospital and has the best care. i know he has the best parents to. He is one lucky baby boy. I know you can't wait to hold him. That would be so hard I couldn't imagine. Your are so strong Amy.. I am in awe of you and everything you've been through this year. Glad to see you are out of the hospital, and in good spirits.
I spoke to my mother about your situation (she was a maturnity nurse specializing in premature babies for 40 years) What she said was that the premies catch up very quickly. Dont worry about the bond, that occurred already I think.
