Acupuncture

Has anyone's addict tried acupuncture?
Great question!!! I once called up a Hypnotist some years ago and she actually phoned me back and was going to have a try at it with my daughter. But she wouldn't go. These are things that should be looked at as who knows maybe they might help. Anything and everything is worth a try. Good luck! Mary
Acupuncture. ..with needles ? Ummm...
Constantine,

I thanked you for your diary because it's helping me understand at maybe a minimal, view into what being an addict feels like. My daughter has felt some of the same things you've mentioned mainly when she was withdrawing.

Getting clean is harder than I'd realized & I'm glad for that part of your writings. It's helped me get some understanding however small or different, into how my daughter feels.

I know her experiences are different from yours. Her symptoms are not gonna be the same as yours. Of course I know that. I just wanted a little insight into what she might be going through, when she withdraws.

Just wanted to let you know that you helped in that way. Helped me & my husband both.
Hope you're well & feeling decent today.

Do you play music anymore, for relaxation?

Love & God bless,
Dee
Dee....
If something in my crazy ramblings help...I'm glad...don't mind me.. I'm Just cranky these days..I truly believe that loving one of us has to be the hardest thing in the world...respect for all of you...and ya...wds really suck...:) ...and yes..I still play music at times...
Constantine,

I'm glad you still play music. I read some of the stuff you wrote in earlier years & they are really good, very insightful.

Don't worry abut being cranky. My daughter is too. lol

It is hard to love an addict. My mum would say, though, anything worth having is worth fighting for. She's deceased now, but I still to her all the time. :)

Hang in there!

love & God bless you,
Dee
Read about acupuncture. Maybe your insurance covers it or you can find a good one who charges on a sliding scale. Most acupuncturists care more about healing people than they do the $$. Gogle, see if it is something you would , can do, let us know how it goes.

I am more into alternative medicine than conventional medicine. I have been asking my son to go to an acupuncturist, but he has not made an appointment. He did go a few times a few years ago for a skin condition, and it did help, faster and longer than medicine.

It definitely helps with pain management. If your body is feeling better, your brain is feeling better.

Acupuncture has a way of moving the energy in your body and getting things unstuck by improving the flow of energy.
