How many pills you now taking a day? Are you ready to go CT yet? I tapered to 5mg of methadone a day then just stopped. I have to be honest it was not easy but I made it thru it..so just wondering about you.I know I held on for awhile becuz I was afraid of how I was gonna feel. My hun was taking about 4 or 5 vico's aday and went ct..at that time I knew nothing about the wd's..but I have to say he did very well...
I think the fear of what is to come keeps us taking that one or 2 a day...but it can be done..

Is it just me or does it seem that physically the guys get through withdrawl better, but mentally we do.? My husband is an addict and he doesn't get bothered by no sleep or chills when we come off. I however am steady in my head, not my body...

if I may say.my spouse took them and when he stopped ,he said he felt nothing ,a little sweaty,excuse for saying ,but no real wd,,now he didnt really abuse them ,but he took 6 a day foe many years..but handled it well,,kinda funny ,isnt it .....love poopie.

Sorry I ran away earlier, but had to get my older guy I take care of ready for the day..He told me he is so ready to have the doctor go over his pills again cuz he is so tired of taking so many of them.. Poor thing, I sit there and watch him take some horse pills that take like 5 mins to go down..
But I am back now, and to answer your question about guys having it easier then we do with w/d.makes me wonder if some feel they are to manly to admit they don't feel well...no wonder alot of guys don't go to the dr... but I see Ali didn't respond...hopefully I didn't say something to upset her...just curious..

I am very proud of you...and yes you can do it...sometimes it does take getting mad to take that extra step...

nope didnt see that one coming..i know im not high...the samw guy said i was not a pill addict i was a junkie..evenb though i hjave never snorted or crushed or anything with me pills..lolol he was just being rude.
He knows i dont like labels so was given me the worst imaginable.
all the things he said doesnt bother me, but when he saiod imk NOT IN RECOVERY AND IM STILL HIGH...that did.
i know im not high, but this is as close as i can safely jump off of...i had wanted to get downto 2...oh well wish me luck....i am stong willed...and determined.

The term junkie has nothing to do with crushing or snorting...anything. It has more to do with addiction to narcotics.

Hi Ali,
Glad to hear you are gonna go for it. You can do this. Things I did: Cuddle up with a warm blanket when I got cold, shower when hot, drink as much water as I could.I ate when I could.

I know comeing off cold trukey wont kill.....If that was my plan to come off by tampering down.i would stick to it the way i felt i could handle it better.But,its your choice and you will be fine...Guess the quicker you come off the quicker you will be feeling better........Good luck to you Ali
