everyone is getting ready for christmas and counting blessings........
the doctor found a lump on my breast and i have been upset about this, for a while now.........trying to be positive and pray .....ya know...
today i had the mamogram.........IT WAS MY FIRST ONE.........whoaaaaa
boy !!! the machine really squizes your titties..........

i thought they were gonna squize them off........
well........i thought i would get this off my chest...
i admit is causing me some anxiety..................
any prayers would be really nice and i would appreciate them...........

I have had several lumps and they have turned out to be cysts...
I started taking Evening Primrose Oil after the last one, the surgeon suggested it...my last mammo, no lumps...I have very cysty breasts...
It is probably nothing, but I know that I was hysterical with the first one, so I do understand sweetie, keep us posted
oh, and my last mammo wasn't quite as bad, they upgraded to the digital mammo, didn't have to squeeze them as long...

Finding a lump is definitely a SCARY thing. I always do a self exam in the morning of a weekday just "in case" I feel anything. There is nothing worse than having a long night or weekend to worry about something.
How long did you wait for to have the mammo after he felt the lump? If he was overly concerned, they would have done the mammo immediately.What did they say after the mammo? They can usually tell right then if it something that requires further testing. I often have to have a second x-ray taken for comparison to old tests but they usually do not let you leave if they are concerned about something without having follow up done. As far as you know right now you are healthy. Just keep thinking that way. Lumps are very common, though worrisome. Dont "worry in advance"

I buy the Evening Primrose Oil from Walmart in the vitamin/supplement area. My surgeon said that one of the gyno's in the area did a study on it with good results. Since I started using it I don't get that painful feeling either.
Thump, even with discharge it's probably not something to worry about...but we will keep you in our prayers...I had a lumpectomy one time and it was a cyst.

Yes, ladies, I can relate. Mammos always hurt me, but I have them yearly. I also have some cysts in my breasts and one time they thought it was more since the fluid they took out of it was whitish, but it wasn't. I find that caffeine in anything bothers me more. That's unfortunate since I love Pepsi so much, but I do drink decaffeinated coffee most of the time. Best of lucky honey! You're in my prayers.

You are in my prayers dear heart. I just know everything will be ok. I found a lump in my Rt breast approx one year ago and had a mammogram done followed by a sonogram because I have been diagnosed with cystic breasts also. I was cleared right away and the Radiologist came into talk with me and reasssured me which meant alot. I'm sure that if anything was found on either of your tests they would have suggested a biospy immediately. I know that you are scared and you have every right to be so. I'm glad that you have a good support system around you and God looking out for you.

Thumper...I have had a few "lumps" removed..none were cancer. I still have one monitored by sonogram every 6 months......most are benign. Try not to worry...Love, Sharonn

I would get that checked out. A nipple that is "leaking" is sometimes a bad sign. I knew of a woman who had breast cancer and dies from it. So get that checked out please
Leakage can also be from hormonal imbalance or infection. Dog....don't scare the heck outta her!!! Seriously, most lumps are benign...better safe than sorry. Reddog...how are you feeling ? How long has it been?Both of you have a good Christmas,,,no negative thoughts guys....Love, Sharonn
I agree with Sharonn, Thump is already scared...no need to really upset her...haven't you read how many of us have had lumps (and yes, I had discharge too) and they haven't amounted to anything? Red, she already said she's been in and tested...let's think positive stuff!
