Another Batch

Actions result in consequences-
This is something we frequently ovelook-
Overwhelmed with the moments senses-
Now, look at all it took-

To justify our feelings-
And fix all loved one's pain-
Wishing we had wings-
To fly away, because there was nothing to gain-

Thinking you will be so productive-
Knowing your bringing yourself up-
Gotta have cash to live-
Now, back to square one with an empty cup-

Over and over the process repeats-
Risking all you ever had-
Not realizing this plan defeats-
Total good with total bad-

Yet, destinations are unclear-
Combined with boredom and bulls***-
Everything that you hold dear-
Cast aside with one hit-

Continuing to yearn for numbness-
Keeps you in the game-
Benefitting nothing from this-
Now, that's what I call shame!

Hey guys!!

Hope everyone is doing well....As for me, I'm still at my mom's...I start IOP through the Hamilton Center next week....I done some dope this weekend--I'd been clean for all most 2 weeks(a record for me!!) It made me feel like total dog dung!!! I'm over it--this website is a godsend!!!

Keep writing the poetry, they're great. and congrats on 2 weeks. it is a start.Dont beat yourself up over the slip, it happens, (if ya can get it) it's what you do about it afterwards that is important. sounds like you are on the right track . hang in there , it does get better , stay in touch with us please, let us know how you are doing best wishes
