hey. I finally found a local N.A. number today. I havent used in almost a week. Problem is this is all familiar. Someone will show up in a few days with s*** and then I'm back on. Gotta beautiful 2yo son and I am not in line for mother of the year (ya know what I mean?) It has been almost a year now and my life has really gone down the tubes. anything would help right now. Everyone has found different ways to recovery. I have read of many people who avoid meetings for that very reason. I personally dont like meetings because to me , they justify my reasoning I am ok , even though I am using tons of meth . I would listen to others talk of how their lives are so bad, and think "I'm not that bad off, so I must have my use under control". For many others , meetings are their saving grace. A friend of mine said to try many different meetings. To try and find one that had the right mix of people. You have the desire to quit , that's the first and most important step towards recovery . You are aware of what is causing you to relapse , LEARN from it!! Very few people if any say "that's it I am no longer using meth!" Not justifying relapses, but just stating how it is, many people "slip" 2, 3, 4 times . You are a mother, read the note "tweaknomore" got from his kid. Very moving!! Look at everything that leads to your using again and learning from it . Even when you are tired , depressed, find a way to reward yourself , for every day you make it without using. before you know it , it will be weeks, then months . It can be done , it DOES get better , always remember that ....and when it gets tough .....vent it out here if you want , many understanding people here , most have been there, some "are " there also ....it helps to know you arent alone ......happy "clean" holidays all!!!
jom your right what ever works for us remember red heat that if for some reason you were to pass how would you leave your child with make a will out and plan your death that way you know how your child will be with the rest of its life .i know its hard to turn down that hit but aet your pride and humble your self tell that person to stay away if they come to your door pick up you child and look him or in they eyes and dont open the door and tell them toleave because your clean just for today if you belive in the devil then you belive theres a god say out loud you demon devil stay away from me and my child for jessus crist and god are in my life to prtect my from all evil i bet it will work just remember as long as you keep it mental and not induce the drug and not make it phsicale it will pass. god help me stay clean and sober today
