Good evening! How are you doing? Glad it's Friday?
Very Glad!! It seemed like every time I answered the phone at work this week it was a patient wanting a refill on pain meds! Could it BE more ironic?
God speaks to us in mysterious ways.
I quit in November, you may recall. Since then, i have heard from 6 people who I haven't heard from in 15-20 years. Totally out of the blue, six different people have called to say hey. They were all from different areas of my former life and do not know each other. Five out of the six immediately started telling me about their alcholism and/or drug addiction. All five of them are recovering and involved in AA/NA. Talk about ironic. I think God sent them to me. What do you think?
(I only confessed to one about my addiction. I mean, I don't even know these people anymore! )

Yeah, it is mysterious. I have a college roommate who is trying to get 6 of us gals together for a mini reunion. She has been annoyingly relentless. Nothing against born-again Christians, believe me, but that's ALL she talks about. I have my Catholic religion thank you very much, but I also have other interests! Anyway, I have been dodging her e-mails and phone calls about getting together.
Finally I told her I am in the middle of struggling with addiction and recovery and just cannot get together any time soon. BIG mistake! Now she wants to know how I'm doing, am I in rehab, does the family know, etc!!!!! I haven't been close to this woman in over 20 years and I don't feel comfortable talking about such things! I guess it's kind of funny, and maybe God wants her to be in my life, but COME ON!

There are some people from my past who I would love to hear from, and would be perfectly fine confiding in. These weren't those people. LOL
It never occurs to me to call someone from 20 years ago. Wonder why?
Because if it's someone I really care about, I've talked to them in the past few months, that's why!!! Not to be mean, but once you get caught up, there isn't much to talk about. LOL

Doing well thanks. I go to see her between 7-8. That way she useally goes to sleep after she gets her ice cream. No alz. She has just lost all of her short term memory. It started about 4 years ago but got really bad about a year ago. Thanks for asking about her.

Yes, I've seen it many times, and told Cade about it a lot> Now he finally gets to see it. He's loving the 'language'. River was so good!!!

No. big plans. I am going back to the gym tomorrow since I haven't gone since I've been sick and then a bridal shower on Sunday. I have to take some vacation days coming up here. I rolled over a lot fro last year so just trying to see what days I don't have any appts. What about you?
