I saw my baby early one morning....she was walking on down the street
I saw my baby early one morning....she was walking on down the street
you know it hurt me, hurt me so bad
made my poor heart skip a beat
Not Mississippi Delta, but even better, Jack.
Oh, and God Bless John Lee Hooker, and Albert Collins (The Iceman). How'd a New Yorker, and a Phillthadelphian fall in love with the blues?
Im not sure who wrote it but- Stevie Ray plays the sh** out of that tune!!
I think because we grew up in cultural diverse areas
- and of course you have to suffer to sing the blues "- -
That must be part of the reason the 2 of us are drawn towards that great type of music

SRV, baby. I am almost certain he wrote it Jack.
Thankfully I didn't get into the dope until I was an oldhead. HAAAAA. Lest wise I'daaa missed the late, great Stevie Ray live three times.
Face it, Jack. We're just cooler than everyone else I think. Especially that Tres.
Ohhhhhh, you have no idea. Mad woman. You wouldn't want to get in her car.
I had no problem getting $2.00 a pop for her CD's. God forgive me. Some of them they wouldn't even take because even the knowledgable music guy never heard of some of her groups.
Mind you I readily gave up my Billie Holiday collection. Yeah, a collection. My Robert Johnson collection. Lucky I didn't have Rod Stewert. Gives her a headache. What kind of 40 something says such a thing?
Hope you and Sandy and the boy/man/teen child are well. I am going to watch for more of James Brown's widow. What is going on there I ask? Night, Jack.
5:00Am comes quickly. Beat anyone up at work? Remember I was saying to stand on your desk and scream I'M A HEROIN ADDICT ON THE 'DONE!!!!!!!
Man, if people even could guess that from me I'd be up the creek. We rock anyway. Yes we do.

Yeah, Jack on his desk......LOL.....oddly enough I never realized he was on the same Coast as me.......TRENTON MAKES THE WORLD TAKES....that's a place between Philly and New York City Davey.......rough going in Trenton.
Historic place too.....that saying is on the bridge they have.......they were big time industry back in the day.......you can take the train from there right into NYC, and it's so easy to get to.......New York rocks it all.....museums and theater, and shopping......fun times.
Jack, you may be able to buy all my collection at some old record store.....only one who has been there will know the madness of selling everything ya ever owned......and other people's as well......O.K. I feel bad......I still do....my boxed CD's, and all things Billie, Robert Johnson, Procol Harem, Chet Baker, Philly Joe Jones, Gerry Mulligan, and on and on....lots of Ahmed Jamal.
O.K. so yeah we talked to our CD's when we sold them......Goodbye Billie if anyone understands it is you.......Pffffffffff........look Chet you been there.....I have to sell you and your horn.......just ask Charlie Parker........then Tres had such bizarre stuff they wouldn't take it.........HAHAHAHA.........we'd be like
BETH vs Billie........seel your s**t, gurllllllllll.......no they don't want Beth Orton.
Girl had a point there...........in all fairness we both put our stuff up......and that poor Tres paid a price I tell ya......Bless Her Heart.
Jack, some good jazz shows I saw not long ago up in NYC.......love going in them little rooms like The Algonquin has.........sitting back and just listening.
Transports you far away.......good stuff......ain't nobody could be so BLUE as us

Oh I know it. Can I guess my own lyrics?
That might be John Lee Hooker, Bryn.
That's exactly correct, Bryn. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM. Another JLH tune.
