I did a bit of research on Edinburgh- -interesting place. we dont have anything that old here in the states- -Hell just the American indians were here back in the 1400, s and probably before> coming up from the South, and across the strait from Russia- -
The city OF Edinburgh has produced or been home to musicians that have been extremely successful in modern times, particularly Ian Anderson, front-man of the band Jethro Tull; Wattie Buchan, lead singer and founding member of punk band The Exploited; Shirley Manson, lead singer for the band Garbage; The Proclaimers; the Bay City Rollers; Boards of Canada and Idlewild ,and probably a lot more that are unknown in these parts
I think there are more people living on 1 big block in the bronx then that whole place- - lol> not really>> Id like to check it out amongst a lot of others spots if I has the cash and the time- ya know??

Yeah,Edinburgh is an interesting old city,good fr a nite out as well,,My town falls in the middle of Edinburgh,approx 40miles,n,approx,25miles from Glasgow,,i always thought Ian Anderson was from the Highlands,n,Islands,,I do know he has fish farms of some sort up that way,,i loved Thick as a Brick btw..
The Bay City Rollers(scream)Wee poofs,,,lol,,I knew their manager Tam Paton personally,n,he was a big fat poof,n,no!!Dont anyone even think it neva mind suggest it..Man you shoulda seen his pad!!It was on the outskirts of the city near the Airport,had about a mile of openness on the way up the drive to it so his CCTV could see the coppers coming,it also had 7 or 8ft walls round it with big solid electric cast iron gates,,was class man..He had alot of property in the city probably payed fr by the money he creamed off the Rollers,he also always had about 10young guys who stayed in the frounds of his home,some indoors and some in big caravans..I think they used to take the fall when it was their turn when they were caught drug dealing,mainly cannabis.The last conviction he got after feigning heart attacks about 3times causing the case to be ajourned,n,continued he ended up getting a 200-000.00fine which is virtually unheard of so there musta been some bartering behind the scenes with the relevant players between the defence,n,prosecuting teams..I suppose a cpl of a hundred grand was worth it to him to spend his last year or two a free man,one things fr certain,if i had got a fine like that or two years prison i,d be telling them to throw me a blanket..Best of it is,he woulda got a single cell wi being an openly gay big fat poof...lol..
I saw the Proclaimers live at The Albert Hall in Stirling in their early days,n,they were quite simply awesome..Where Edinburgh Castle sits opposite the main shopping street in Edinburgh is a truly crackin site also..Its also the home of the newish Scottish Parliament as well(alot of s***e)Murrayfield/The home of Scottish rugby and Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian Football Clubs,n,Jack!!You support Hibs by the way!!Trust me,,wi your green roots...lol..Its also where the movie Trainspotting was filmed,,i,d imagine you would all have seen that...Anyway,,,i could go on,n,on,so i,m off just now..
Oh b4 i go,i was up in the Tolbooth in Stirling today watching Wee Alex,s xmas play for her drama group in which she was fab...I was well proud.....ECK....
Oh b4 i go again....MOM,,Yer rite,,,i am alot happier this year,last year i didnt care if i lived or died,this year is much different,,Although i have hardly any money,n,wont see my girlfriend till just after xmas i have given the kids Mum the money she has asked for to put to the wee ones,s xmas so its all good at the moment,n,that BAWBAG of a hurricane could not have blown my cap off...10/10........ECK....XXXXXXXXXX
