Just wanted to post, I am so frustrated, my doc refers me to a suboxone doc in my area, and because he referred me, my insurance should cover any and all treatment for that doc. However, they said they will not accept me because my insurance is not accepted by them. I cannot get off this damn pills, I am just so frustrated!! I cannot go on like this....
I know the feeling..I literally had to call 3 times for detox to agree to take me...I could not afford suboxone even if I wanted it. Can you go to an inpatient detox or rehab? Do you think you can CT at home? I am here if you need support. Love, Sharonn
Dawn...
Call the 800 number on your insurance card and ask about your benefits regarding substance abuse programs...then call them and ask for their help...I was amazed at all my insurance covered and how helpful they are when I was looking for a rehab for my son. Also, they told me with my insurance if they didn't cover certain things due to a location problem, they can give authorization for out of plan payments...

Don't give up...it's just a small hiccup...make some more phone calls...You also might want to go back and try a meeting, meet some people that can help and that have been where you are now....

You are in my prayers and being sick and tired of being sick and tired is the beginning of getting help and getting better....

(((hugs)))

I agree with Stacey! Find out who does accept your insurance and have your Doctor refer you to that office.

Don't give up before the miracle happens. Remember, sub is a tool. Not a miracle pill.

It will give you the precious time needed to heal some of the damage that has been done to your noodle....then you must have a very strong program to help you from there. When you fix the spiritual hole....man it is an indescribable the feeling.

Think of all the hoops you jump through to get your pills....this is no different. In fact it is...way more important! If this is what you have decided your route will be then take any measures possible!!

Good luck and keep us posted...you are so worth it!
Dawn, If the doctor isn't a contracted provider with your insurance company but your insurance company will pay for your treatment is there any way you could afford to pay up front and then submit an itemized bill to your insurance company and get reimbursed. At the doctors office I work at alot of patients do that. Just a thought. Good luck. Shantel
