Welcome to the board! I just saw your post and wanted to respond. I know your doctor told you how very dangerous it is to get off pain pills such as lortab etc but it's not really all that bad.I doubt you will have the brain seizures and heart attcks your doctor told you about. Weaning down 5 mgs a week is a good idea. Getting OTC medications to help ease your discomfort is a great idea to. It can be done though. You CAN succeed and stay clean. How long and how much have you been taking. I have gone through a couple lortab/vicodin withdrawls. It certainly isn't fun but it CAN BE DONE... Best of luck to you, Rae

Ps. I just read where you are on lortab and soma's. My advice would be to wean off the lortab first and quit them. The soma's may help a little with the withdrawls. Then after a week or so start the taper on the soma's. I would keep your doctor informed about what you are trying to accomplish.He may also give you some cloidine to help with the withdrawls.

Sorry for the "Siane", I'm typing faster than I should be. Plus I just put on acrylic nails and that makes for lots of mistakes...
