Brother Vs. Drugs

Well, Iam a teen and I have a older brother who is addicted to cocaine for 2 years. Stayed clean for 1 month because he became a chistian. But return to drugs. Its terrible to see my family suffer from his addiction. My mother is sick and my brother just drains her out more. Sometimes think that I will never see my brother. He begs and crys for drug money and my mother gives it to him because she scared of what he could do to her or he might break something. He comes back in 20min. and wants more money, all through the night. We call the cops but they seem to not be able to do a thing about it. Thats a hard life to cope with. All I can is just pray for my brother and other people out there with drug addiction. But I think all this makes me be a stronger person, to say no to drugs because I know how drugs make you ack and hurt their loved ones.

Well if your brother still lives in the house, the first thing your mother should do is Kick him out! We all are concerned obout this addiction, but unless he gets help... it will only get worse.....

I feel so bad for you, someone your age should not have to go through this. Try to convince your mom to get a restraining order on your brother. And, try to talk to her about asking him to get some help. As for you Al-A-Teen has a program for teenagers who's parents and siblings are alcoholics or addicts. Talking to people your own age, who are going through similar things, might give you some comfort. Please keep posting, and let us know how you are. All of are hearts go out to you and you will be in our thoughts.
