I know in your last reply to my thread..you told me not to expect a card for Easter from you know who....instead i got what i'd like to call' A Chocolate Easter Junky' showing up on my front porch early Easter Morning.
He kinda took me by surprise...slug that i am i was still not out of bed yet and when i asked him if he could come back later...he said he'd go for breakfast and then return. I said that i needed a shower my coffee and cigs to wake up with (he knows that) and could he come back in the afternoon instead.
He started getting bent out of shape and telling me that was too late...so he left in a huff and i thought he wasn't going to return and i felt kinda relieved a bit and went back to sleep. I did notice that he was wearing a tee shirt i had given him from my last trip to NYC which he never wore (more out of spite i suppose..but it was a little snug back then and now it seems loose in him).
He did come back later in the afternoon and my stomach actually sank when i saw him bound up the front porch steps. He also had a bag of hamburgers with him as he said he was starved....and he said that he hadn't gone to breakfast hours ago. We watched a movie (he went out on the front porch to smoke a small joint first...but unlike the last time he was here he wasn't out there for 45 minutes when he said he wanted to smoke a joint)
I am kinda confused in that i didn't really see any fresh track marks on his badly scarred inner arms from over 30 years of IV heroin use....but he was yawning a lot from that one little 'doobie' he smoked on the porch and complained that he was feeling tired all the time now...and broke...and he didn't try to put the moves on me sexually also..
He left around 6 PM and said he was going back to his place not to take a nap so he could sleep later tonite but just to lay around..
It is not like he is nodding out as in the old days when we lived together and he used to shoot up in the bathroom but then again pot smoking didn't exactly make him extremely tired and usually made him hornier....back then as well...he goes to work everyday too...(he has too due to his probation)
If there is another woman which you feel there isn't then she isn't giving him any money apparently...even for sex if that is the nature of their relationship as he is always broke and why would he spend Easter with me even tho he didn't stay over?
if he is indeed is using heroin then the signs are
more confusing..maybe it is harder to discern when
you don't live together...he is up to something tho

He's a mystery to me.....not sure whay he showed....maybe because he gets a glimpse of hope through you......hey, maybe he really isn't using.....he wanted to be with you at Easter.....he's a specimen of male heroin addict I have not come across.....you just keep taking care of mary.

A 30 year veteran heroin addict...not using? I only saw him about 3 hours on Easter Sunday...and he doesn't see hope through me...in so far as he hopes that i will come across financially on some level...cause other than that he was cold moody..responded to everything i said with a sneer or contempt and complained of being tired all the time..
I think a 53 yr old junky wouldn't have survived this far with a 30 year heroin habit (among other drugs) without learning how to control or hiding his habit when needs be. If he was really about recovery would he be smoking weed drinking and still going to AA meetings even if they are mandated by the court?
The dude never got a sponsor...is hanging out with old using buddies or son and daughter of the heroin dealer who's house he was living in when he got busted for trafficking....and unlike before who he is hanging out with is none of my business all of a sudden....he won't tell me because he knows i will know what he is up to...and if it is another chick she certainly isn't giving him money and that isn't his usual style...he generally feeds off of others..
Geez Bryn...the guy is so slick that despite the fact that you don't know him personally...he is starting to have you believing that he isn't using..do you know that one of the reasons he said he like me 6 years ago was because i was so naive about things...i think one of things he has dumped me for is that now i am too wise about things...regarding his bulls#%@.
