Hey when you went thru withdrawl...how long did the sweats lasts...and the anxiety and all that crap...have you ever heard of the naltrexone implant? hes getting that on friday...im excited just wondered if it really does block the effects of opiates..also what would happen if he used? Any advice would be great!

I can answer the naltrexone question. Yes it does block opiates....If he tries to use he will not feel anything. You can post to Silent Partner who knows a lot about this. The implant I thought I read that after time, the longer it is in it loses effectiveness, but don't hold me to that as I am cluttered lately.
Curious as to where your bf wants to move in Philly. Lots of places going up. One beautiful one I have watched the past year be built on Washington Ave, and some new homes and stuff down near the lakes....

I don't miss the gas bills from there. Here I have 3 times the house, and 3 times less the bill, crossing the brigde was worth it.....Remember you are paying for people who haven't paid in years. And all them big wigs who thought they didn't have to pay. What a joke that system is. Ever planning on crossing the bridge...It ain't to bad here in Jerzey, and hell all the good shops from Philly have moved and expanded to this side, almost like home, except you gotta drive, can't walk......

Tina is right.....that neighborhood at one time was beautiful....now it's a war zone.....the projects got knocked down years ago....and they built brand spanking new ones....aircondition, and all a bit further down.....they look like townhomes....yepper....so some poor senior citizen who probably is a war vet, and then worked for the city as a cop or fireman....PAID FOR EM'....Tina is EXACTLY right....more like the last generation PAID and now they're paying AGAIN.....they used to be not allowed to turn the gas off....one lady was in the paper.....FRONT PAGE....HEADING.....THAT'S COLD PGW.....she owed over $1,600 from the previous year and would not turn her gas on until she paid up.
Well what a sob story.....boo freaking hoo.....she had the mortgage, and the gas.....so she paid a lil gas, and the mortgage sometimes....HAY-LOW lady if you don't pay your mortgage then ya ain't got nuttin to heat!!!! So donations poured in.....PRIDE.....nobody has any....I have to say too I have been on the low side after or actually during drugs.....I learned that way what to get, where to go, and sop up on some other poor working stiff hero.....I figured I'm an American....LOL.....it's not good....I am not without a heart, but these people just cranked up the gas and opened all the windows....they got cable, and plasma TV's....slap their card on the counter for food, and drugs, and Doctor's.
It ain't right.....I wanted in though....like it was a badge of honor....they penalize you for working.....they really do.
Anyway's....that South Philly....I would like to see how they move the drugs out of there, and the prostitution...so people with $350,000 living blocks from a project can walk around a decent hood....it's BAD down there in South Philly.
Such a shame....entire blocks of people moved to Jersey to be near eachother...mostly the Italians who were there for generations.....I hate to say this becky.....If your boyfriend knows about those condo's or has seen them...I'd wonder what he was doing over there......that's a high drug area over that way...I went to a Vietnamese place to eat...with a friend....I get out of the car, and in the lot is tons of drug bags just laying there....there's gentrifiers over there trying to do the real estate thing....and make the hood a groovy place, but I saw with my own eyes the prostitutes and it wasn't late at night....the people strolling around with their limbs twitching....the crack does that.
As for symptoms....a good ten days he should be through it.....maybe not the anxiety, but the stomach stuff, and the chills, and sweats....that's about usual.
The mental part.....phew.....that goes on, and on.....I do not understand how he thought he can dupe his PO.....I saw no urines, but now they even have an eye thing.....checks your pupils.....a girl on here now....Tres is my friend....she could tell you more about that......she got over a year, and more clean time.
She'd help a stranger on the street....she always had a good heart....so you could ask her to pick you up, and she would....LOL....she is too sweet...so she may have some answers too....she went to that Doctor with the implants...the guy in Jersey.....she knows about that stuff....I usually toughed it out by myself.
Sweetie, I pray this goes alright....I'm sorry.....you had such high hopes....you NEED to take care of BECKY FIRST.....I think you KNOW that now....ask him how he's gonna pay for that condo....or no....when he's just talking about stuff ask him how he seen them...what's he know from nothing as they say....that'd put him right in the thick of a dangerous spot....that's for sure.....not to mention he had to have some loot somewhere....which is usually iffy for addicts.
Keep going Becky towards a life for Becky....no matter what that encompasses.

Hey sorry to say it...but tom has money...he is a very fortunate addict...never ahd to steal...never had to beg for drugs...never ahd to sell stuff none of that...he started an internet business when he was 17...bought a condo at 19 and has been on his own ever since...hes lucky...thats why i dont udnerstand teh drug use...but then again like 80% of CEO's are drug addicts since they 1. have the money and 2. have stressful jobs...so I guess it makes sense...hes seen the buildings beacuse he has an office in philly...one in philly and one in pennsauken in jersey...he never got drugs in philly...just collingswood and camden are his places...
but yeaaaaaaa he went to an outpatient place today in cherry hill...they got all his info...he is getting the pellet tomorrow...they worked for him before but when they wear off in like 2 or 3 months...he would start using instead of getting another one...so hes pretty much gonna have to get them forever at this point...but hey...whatever works...hes still making it work for him...going to work...and getting his s*it done...but hes been drinking a lil after work...3 or 4 shots a night...said he "needs" to...to get thru the sweats...so id say he ahs about another 4 or 5 days of sweats then no mroe excuses and no more alcohol jerk butt!!!

I read about all those guys up in NYC traders, and money guys...stocks, and all have alot of heroin addicts....you're right they say the stress....still I could not function normally....my friend who has been on recently she worked every single day....I mean drug her sick self to work....while me, and the other girl we hung with....scammed, and stole, and bribed, and schemed....then she'd get home, and yell at us....I'm the only one works around here...LOL...like we were her husbands....LOL....I'd pull out my anty, and say "Well oh yeah LOOK at this"....always made my way.....alot of addicts actually do work though, and work hard....they dispise the name people like me give them....the nasty, dirty ones we are....although sad to say many a person with mucho bucko's lost it all.....I pray this works for him Beck....I do...you've stood by him, and he loves you....he needs to love him though...ya know....I'm glad he made the appointment.....I wish the two of you could just move clear across the world.

hey...he was supposed tog et the pellet today...prob not now...you take a naltrexone pellet at night...the night before...and it made him puke his guts out like way badddddddd

I see that you put a post up on the sub board, maybe you can find out why he got sick. My first thought is that there were still opiates in his system. You have to make sure your body is clear before switching over, they say 48 hours to 7 days. But I see SP write 7 days all the time. He drinking also? I thought I remembered you writing about that, not sure what the effect would be if he had alcohol in his system. But naltrexone is used to help alcoholics as well.........

Yes he ahs def been drinking to get thru the withdrawls of heroin...not a good idea i know but to me it seems better to srink for a few day to stop shooting dope...i guess he got so sick as a mixture of the alcohol drinking and the not having the opiates out of his system completely yet...
I've worked all my life thru-out my addictios, have sold stuff etc... have stolen a couple of things, nothin big , mainly food n stuff but i still don't descriminate against the ones that don't work and steal 4 their habit. i've bought many a thing off fellow addicts . 2 me it's important about the person , if he/she is a decent soul or not.So don't u start gettin all" i give addicts a bad name" coz not everyone thinks that way. respect, herman
