I just watched that movie last night. Boy, if I could go back.....
That movie got me thinking about what I would change.
It also made me think of the consequences of our actions......

I just watched that a couple of weeks ago. SO weird. But I recommend it to anyone. It's a great movie. If you haven't seen it, watch it!
i do remember a couple times when it seemed like a had a clear chance to start over, with a clean slate, & i kinda slipped back into me. it seems like if i could go back , i would change things, but would I? of course , as we all know, we can change now.
but that was a great movie, frustrating for the father & grandfather, i'm sure, but the kid sure broke the cycle. i must say, i enjoyed how he handled those aryans, or nazis or whatever they think they are.
it must've been tough at the end, when he was a succesful (i cant remember if it was lawyer or shrink) & he bumped into that girl on the street & kept walking. I don't know if i woulda done that, but then the cycle would start again, i guess.

Brown that like like a way great scene at the end. Let's don't give it away!!! But anyone, if you have the chance, watch the movie. It's totally a "three hankie" movie..and it's not a "chick-flick" for you guys out there...
sorry about that, it's definitely not a chick flik, my wife hated it. but theres all that romance behind the action, violence, irony & all that other good stuff, it should be appealing to everyone. I liked the regular ending better then the directors cut, but both were pretty cool
I've also seen that movie.
Man on man if I could go back in time about 9 years to when I was 18. I'd do so many things over again. Take a different program in university. Never, ever touch a drug, not to mention a few other things.
It's actually not a bad movie. Kinda interesting.

Kiwi- you are giving away your age! If I was going back to 19, it would be more like 25 years!!!!! But yeah. Don't you wish you could go back with the knowledge you have now, and relive your life then? We would all be worth millions!!!!
Danny...........keep noticing your byline....have you heard the new recording of YOUR MOVE by fellow addict, Robert Downey Jr.? I just bought his new album online and that is my fav track on it. Iy is a medley with GIVE PEACE A CHANCE.
I enjoy reading your posts. I am on day 10 of w/d from Norco/any opiate and recovering from my hardest day yet. Doing turkey dinner and trying to be normal in front of unknowing family members with a bi___! BUT, I did it! And I only hope to do it even better by Christmas! Take care!
Hey All,
I haven't seen the movie yet but I think I will go out in rent it this weekend sounds interesting......I even know the ending. LOL
Hope everyone had a great day and stuffed yourselves.........(sorry Danny!)

trideltmom- I've heard about the Downey Jr. version. The original ends with all singing "All We are Saying, is Give Peace a Chance". You have to listen hard for it, but it's there....thats probably why the medley. I'm going to change my sig tomorrow though. I have a new one in mind!!!!!
Dannyob..........Thanks, didn't know that. I was certainly around listening to the original but haven't heard it in awhile. I thought RD Jr. came up with it!
I saw him talking about his recovery on Oprah this week and it really inspired me. I am a huge fan of his and always have been.
Thanks for writing! HAve a great weekend and feel better!
I've always loved RD jr. too! And not because he is an addict. I just think he's a great actor.
