sorry i checked out for awhile. been a rough few months. my father in law lost his battle with cancer on Aug 1st. i had been staying with them for the 3 weeks before he died to help take care of him. i do this every day, but it is really draining when its people you are close to. that last night was so very hard. i held him up on the edge of the bed so he could breathe a little better and just cried. he finally went to sleep at 5am and died at 6am. i wouldnt wish his last night on anyone. it was pure hell for him. i am so glad he is finally at peace now.
i am sure you are wondering if i am still clean. well i did trip a few times, but didnt fall to hard and am back on track. thanks for asking about us. nice to know we made an impact on some one.

cajun lady- good you posted you have been through a lot ... i am so sorry about such a sad loss for both you and bubba j. i am assuming this was his father.... (?) unfair and hard i know.

thanks for your kind words. actually it was bubba j stepdad. his biological dad died when j was 16. but it was still dad and a loss still the same. we are doing ok. one day at a time, right.

He was a good man, but he's better off now, he's with God and pain free.
As cajun lady said, we did slip a couple of times,but seemed to handle it ok and no cravings for more afterwards. Actually I didn't much care for the felling it gave me anymore. I like feeling I'm in control to much for it to be a everyday habit again, But were both back on track and doing ok. So how goes it with You? Hope all is well with you and everyone else on the board.
