Hey Friends, I am a long time poster on the Pain Pill board, but wanted to share something with you guys!
I picked up a brochure today at my doctor's office about CAMPRAL. You guys may already know about this drug, and if you do, pardon me. I had never heard of it, though, and find it very interesting.
It is a drug which helps people not drink, and according to the pamphlet, it is getting very good results.

It only works if you take it and there ARE significant side effects...
Whatever works, though, is worth doing if it breaks the addiction. I will say it was useful for me in slowing the cravings of cigarettes.

Yep, gotta go with what SKG posted, the stuff only works if you take it....it's an inside job for me to stay sober and in recovery....but if it works for others that a good thing, antabuse just didn't work for this here drunk/addict woman...I only could lay down the drink and drugs until I was blessed with the gift of desperation. Thanks for sharing that Carol, it is good to know that there is medication for those who would use it.

I used Campral and highly recomend it, It worked very well for me,
AA wasnt thing,And still isnt, Campral was and Im over 2 an a half yrs sober now,
But they say whatever works for the individual,

Yes man whatever works is right
I used Campral and Naltrexone at the same time, My first attempt yrs earlier I just used Naltrexone, horrble drug, headaches, nausea dry mouth etc,
