hi i have joined this site over 2 yrs ago,wanting to get support on another forum.. i came here because i am wondering if a relationship no matter how destructive can it be addictive???
anyone on here gone or going through anything similar?

Hmmmmm....interesting question. Relationships have their habits and rituals just as addictions do, so I suppose you could be addicted to a person, or to the feeling you get from being with that person. Destructive relationships are often about the drama - it's the fire that keeps the people together and I do think that the drama can be addictive. I know how I felt physically when we were in the drama...heart racing, adrenaline pumping...maybe that's a kind of 'high'...so, yeah, I guess destructive relationships are addictive.
