Can I Really Do This At Home

I'm on my second day of tapering off norco and need some help. Has anyone gone to the doctor and gotten librium or something to help with withdrawl. I don't want to go to rehab again. I just need some help.
Thanks for all your help.

I did it at home. I tapered down then quit. Its not easy. I made sure I could not get any more pills from ALL of my connections.Got a lot of support from this board. I never thought I would be able to function w/o vics but I am. Just make up your mind you have to do this and stick with. We are all here for you.

Hey Lisa,
Welcome to the board. The first step is admitting you have a problem. Now how long have you been using? How many mgs a day are you taking? I did a taper and it worked. I have been off vicodin since Feb 2nd. I have had clonidine in the past for withdrawls and heard librium is good also. Best of luck to you. Rae
Hiya rae can i just say your alwasy here for those newbies offering a helping hand hun true inspiration jackei xxxxxxxxx
Hey Jackie how are you? How's the grandbaby? My little girl is starting to walk. She is to cute, although she has an attitude problem from time to time. When you take something away from her she bangs her head on the floor. I wonder where she gets her temper from??LOL.... Hope you are having a great weekend. I saw your success story and it's exactly that. You are a wonderful woman and have overcome a lot in your life. I wish you all the happiness in the world Jackie. Love ya, Rae
hello there i am doing this at home myself and i am on day 1. i have no benzos maybe 9 somas which have helped with the muscle cramps, lots of immodium and trying to drink lots of fluids, mainly water, i have high blood pressure and am taking medication for that and if it gets too rough i will call the dr. its awesome that you are on day 2, i am not looking forward to tomorrow however i am preparing myself mentally for whatever happens. I have alot of anxiety but i am trying to use distractions such as taking long hot baths, watching upbeat tv and doing it a hour at a time. i am very jittery and for me if i take a benadryl it helps a bit at night. you are doing great. take care and if it gets to rough please call your dr.
Tropical,
Hang in there your doing great! Immodium helps. Midol worked pretty good for me to. Well with the moodiness. Motrin 800 mgs for body aches and Comtrex cold and flu. Don't forget to take a One a day vitamin and B-12. They work. Take care! Rae
