We left town on the spir of the moment. Coulden't have done that on pill patrol. lol We rented a plane and flew to Santa Barbara. We just came back a couple of hours ago. It's going to thunderstorm here in the great state of California. I have flown in small planes before during thunderstorms. This is California, thunderstorm could mean just about anything here. Better to get on tera firma with great haste!

I went to lunch with my husband on a Tuesday, which is rare! Enjoyed it very much!
I am EXERVOUS about NY...hahahaha, new word!, How do you like it??? I got my husband tickets to see Delfaeyo Marsalis (good New Orleans boy) at the Blue Note in NY. I sound so city, don't I? When I am in the audience, I can give a good aaaaaaayyyyeeeeeee....he will know a fellow Louisianian is there! No one on the planet calls like a Louisianian!, or cooks, or dances, or plays music, etc.
I hate leaving my little home state at the bottom of the map...so much about this place that I love, but I guess you take it with you??

I had a friend who was a leader in the counter culture movement. She was raised in NY, and when she first went to Cali...late 50's, she said all the people from the East Coast were freaked out because "no one in California took a bath"....hahaha! All those Beat poets were freaked out by "flower power" and hippie culture!
Of course, when I knew her, she was living near Santa Cruz. Eventually, everyone finds their way to Cali, huh??

You either love California or you hate it. There is Northern California or there is Southern California. Same thing goes for New York. Of course there is always "Uuupstate". Ever heard tell of Upstate?
California is the greatest state in the Union. Nothing to my knowledge happens here, nothing, zip. Our weather person has to be a comedian because we have no weather. Nothing political happens or at least we sure don't care if it does. You should have a nice car however. Cars are important. Nice ones. People think we are shallow. They are just envious. I only have 2 cars at the moment. Im selling my white Italian sports car. I will be getting another convertible.
I better go to bed I'm getting punchy.

in louisiana we all drive trucks....big, huge, fat, 4wheel drive trucks, with giant back seats and guns mounted right on the back window! we also have bats under the seat...not to mention socks full of pennies. (those are to throw at errant possums and wily coyotes).
i don't drive a truck though.....i drive a huge SUV...with Support Our Troops stickers all over it, because I AM patriotic....after all.
speaking of punchy.....i guess it is bedtime for me too!
