hey guys dont mean to put the dampers on ya but it's true before we know it christmas will be here , ive started shopping already mad yep i know lol but i know atleast in december i can chill while everyone is going maaaaaaaddddddd. kev was thinking this will be your first crimbo clean in a few years that your spending with your family (correct me if im wrong ) give's us all something to look forward too a new beggining xxxxxxx

I've always liked the holidays but, i hate the stress that comes with them. This year for me i'm excited. My baby will turn 1 on Dec 7th i'll turn the BIG 30 Dec. 13th. My kids will be with me for the first time in 2 years!. The last 2 christmas i did not have coustody of my older kids. It will be nice to know the bills are paid there are gifts under the tree AND the whole family is HOME!!!!!!!!. I hate the stress i'm not looking forwords to that. IT WILL BE AMAZING to see the baby open his 1st gifts. Last year he was just about 3 weeks old not due till the 27th we did not buy him anything. Now he can crawl a lil sits up real good it will be a blast to see him with gifts i think he'll be walking before Christmas. Yes, it will be here before we know it. More then Christmas i always HAVE LOVED Holloween it's so much less stressful the kids really ENJOY dressing up also it will be Robbies 1st we think we are gonna dress his as a pirate he says Augh and growls. Sadly it may be my other sons last he's 11 this year i don't think many 12 year olds think trick or treating is cool anymore.

Oh how cute Robbie as a pirate.......man, I got an entire high end pirate costume over here..........only way too big.........got store bought costumes out the rear over here.....the babies are the cutest ever.........on Halloween.

I was in Paris on Halloween.........they don't do like us.....quite boring.......I prefer to dress like a Saint.....yeah I do dress like a Saint for All Saints Day..
Always did.........pffffftttt...........best costumes ever were my youngest brother...and he still loves Halloween.......the proverbial old lady with a pillow in the butt..........OR Carrie at the prom..........he loves that one.

My nephew was an Ompah Loompah one year......EXCELLENT..........it was great..........look not to be a downer, BUT alas there's another thing I did for how many years? Trick-Or-Treating and having parties with apple bobbing.......I think I was a mom then, right?

Let me tell ya one year I went all over the city to procure every article of clothing and accessories for a Xena Warrior Princess.........damn me.......damn me and I am so shunned...........sorry girls carry on.........lucky I sure never even went near crack or coke or meth.........I'd write volumes.......Christmas.

NO!!!!!!!!! IT'S ONLY AUGUST...EMZ!!! But i suppose you're right, it is creeping up. I was thinking of it the other day acually. Yeah first Xmas clean in a long time. Last year was in the jail so i'm gonna have a good one!! Don't get me wrong, had a ball, just couldn't go to the pub and use my mistletoe on the ladies lol. Emz when i first saw your thread i was like, "what has she started?", but thinking of it i'm getting quite happy....can't wait. Have a good Fri everyong.....Peace!

Yeah we have Hallowe'en...I love it! We nicked the whole trick-or-treating thing from you guys...but the teenagers egg houses...not nice...

I was once an oompah-loompah in a school play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We did Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when I was bout 9 or 10!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol.

I hate Xmas. It's a time of looking back and forward and feeling down for me...and last Xmas my ex and I had a huge row infront of the kids on Xmas morning...it's gotta be better this year?

And for goodness sake...it's still august...stop it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeh..easy on the Xmas front....still got Helloween to get over...i will be bringing my daughter round the locale to intimidate my neighbours...but kids nowadays think they just gotta dress up a bit and put there hand out..in my day you had to sing a song or sumthin.I will be making her a witches broom to make her look the real deal...with her hat and black cape.I only look forward to Xmas for my daughters sake coz i think this will be the last one were she believes in Santa....shes nearly 8 so its a pity they wise up so young...but thats life.Take care all........Davey

GUYS dont forget bonfire night lol halloween is cool too the kids dressing up etc although i alwys said i would love to go to america to celebrate halloween here its not as big as in the states in the states everyone makes the effort. here it's mostly the big kids going around terrorising everyone and it ruins it for the innocent kids ,davey i know what you mean my eldest daughter is 8 in november and she is starting to wise up to what really happens on xmas eve lol . zg my baby charlie is 1 on the 2nd of january he just missed the new year phewww xxxxx

..Don't wanna put a damperner on the xmas thing..but tis not the same (prob has'nt been for a while ?)..you can see the stress on peoples face as they shuffle from shop to shop..i get my bits n bobs in november..make sure i got wot i need before its sells out..i do like our xmas..but people start it a bit to early i think..putting their trees n lights up as soon as it hits dec..by the time xmas day comes ya glad its over cos the spirit went before it started if ya know wot i mean ?..maybe if people waited until a couple of weeks before xmas day..the spirit of xmas would belike it used to be..i think there should be a law-ya not allowed to put ya treee n lights up until 12 days before xmas haha!!..i enjoy the ole films and that they show in the morning in the run up to xmas..like oliver n scrooge n other dickens films..halloween ? its not sweets n stuff they want no more..its mp3/ipod players n mobiles nowadays haha!!..bonfire nights ok still..go over the park n have a burger n a beer (sum of us)..with my son and 12 of his mates in tow..anyways..yep it sure will fly in even thou we're in sept..it won't be long before ya kids are walking round the house daily with the argos book in hand :)..Robbie..

Funny how Christmass brings out so many different feelings in folks. My daughter always felt like it was pressure-time and got depressed. 2006 was her first happy Christmas - I think it was because it was just the four of us in Texas instead of the whole extended family at our house. Real calm and peaceful-like, mellow. Most years it's me and baking and making candy and wrapping and decorating. I enjoy that stuff, I do, but I know what you mean when you say you can see the stress on people's faces - it's become like a competition or something and that's not fun. Around here the lights go up on some homes the day after Thanksgiving! I have a dear friend who visits different places in the world at Christmas so she doesn't have to deal with it. I could scale back on the festivities and still be happy - maybe even happier.

They are weird looking...but when I played one in our school play, we wore black catsuits and grass skirts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the sound of scaling Xmas down...just me and my girls...but that would upset the folks...hmmm...we'll see.
