Sorry I packed it in the last time, it's the hardest thing is tring to do this alone, there is no help where I'm from, an no one konws nothing about heroin here, so I have no choice but to keep my mouth close, if I did I'd be the worst c*%^ around.

Hi geo if you want to talk just give me a shout i live in scotland i read your other post about your doctors not giving out anything there not much different here in scotland unless your homeless they dont seem to want to help people that have familys and jobs to keep but hey thats the way it goes but dont be too hard on yourself just never give up giving up take care good luck sue
I am actually thinking of just going to scotland, but I have a lot of friends in edinburgh that take gear, and I could get it in a min there, thats why I am unsure of going.
But It's not working here, might have to try something else, here I have to get 200 a time, which was lasting about 2 days 3 at a push, most of my savings are gone, and I have to drive 200 mile to get it.

Glad to see your trying,i did it several times.I wasnt smart enough to stay off till this last time.it can be done though i really hope you can do this.if you do every time you think of doing dope think of the withdraw.when i was in active withdraw i laid in my bed (which is close to he bathroom) and tried to watch movies to help keep my mind off of it.Drink lots of water it will not only keep you from dehydrating but it will help pass the dope through your systom faster.

Where did the
phrase "cold turkey"? come from
Since "cold turkey" is normally used in the context of quitting an unhealthy habit, such as smoking, of course it had something to do with addiction.
Sure enough, a search on "cold turkey" + "origin" led to an entry on IdiomSite. It sez the phrase describes the skin's reaction to heroin withdrawal. As an addict stops using the drug, blood is drawn toward the internal organs, thereby leaving the skin to resemble a cold, plucked turkey.

My posts to others, my own are a bit, verbose to say the least but so what if we cant let it all hang out here, we may as well hang it up, like, well-Let's not go THERE. It is hard to talk about this drug. Heroin users are next door to child molesters& Terrorists in many folks weird world hierarchy. There might be a light at the end of the tunnel, my girlfriend got on the phone to a hospital and they are saying that they prescribe subutex, so I here that is good, so am going now to check out the subutex boards to see if I should go.
I also found out that the doctors can't tell any-1 so they is no way I can lose my job.

I know you can do this, i am so glad about the subs loads of people have tried them and they worked but it is still hard geo.
I thought about you loads since you last posted woondering how you are getting on. That sure is hard, your mum thinking you have flu. My thoughts are with you mate and your girlfriend.

Of course your Doc should NOT be able to tell anyone! My lord, what kind of Stalinist-informant -riddled society do we live in? How dare those quacks inform on people! I thought Med. Records were confidential, like a priest in a confessional or some such.Man, If you find a good doc let me know most of them I have been to have all been real jacka**es.SERIOUSLY! No help to me in any way shape or form. I know a pharmacist who will not sell anyone a clean syringe;not even to halt the spread of HIV. He says addicts "have a Demon in them" & he throws em outta his shop.Whatta world!

My problem was the total opposite of yours! My doc was willing to throw anything at me!!! I think thats most to do with why Im here. Hes probably the most controversial doctor in Scotland! (Wasnt complaining when i was in a mess though) I never saw him for years just asked the receptionist for whatever and got it! Its the counciling and rehab lengths that are messed up in this country. When you do get a worker they are amazing! But the area I am from the average list for rehab is 2+ years! Now what are you supposed to do in that time? I just need help as we all do! I wish you the best of luck! I find that over here if you phone and phone and nag you do eventually get seen to! Even lie till your blue in the face about your conditions! xxx

well a went to the doc and now I'm going to try rehab for a week, am going to be on britloflex, so am going to give it a go. If it does'nt a won't no what to do 100 a day my saving's would be gone in a month. all ready spent thousands on the stuff.
