Must be a jinx. I was just getting the half time pizza out of the oven (I'm not really watching the game, but making take-away for my man and his buddies next door) and the second half kicked off. I just sat down in time to see Sweden equalise, and made a swift exit. My man's mates make me stay in the bathroom when Wales play rugby, because whenever I walk into the room, somebody scores a try against them. I guess it's the same with the footie. Oh, well, I'm banished again... ho hum!

Just had a fight on the phone with the gf she has been put on subs lasts monday, and she is telling me she is scoring a bag every now and again. she is now on 24mg of subs and says she is not feeling good. what you reckon, she is up to 24mg of subs and I have got myself down to 15mil of meth. Is she really trying or is she just trying to give me an excuse to take more gear?

I am told they are a kind of really strong pain killers, but every 1 I talked to about them think they are bril, they can be abused they desolve in water so you can pin them, but a don't think they are opiate based.

Hiya Geo, subutex are a form of synthetic morphine, as addictive as conventional opiates as far as the brain is concerned. They work better than methadone as they bind more tightly to the opiate receptors. The brain prefers them, if you like, to other natural opiates, such as heroin and methadone. As they bind so tightly, they knock off any natural opiate that are present in the brain. They compete, and they win, sort of thing. Because of this, you must be in withdrawal the first time you take them, as other wise they send you into instant withdrawal. If you are already in withdrawal, they make you feel better. At doses over about 10 - 12mgs, subutex is a complete blocker, which means that you will not feel any effect from other opiates you maybe playing around with. 24 mgs is a fairly high dose, and as such acts as a complete blocker. If you take heroin at the same time as subutex, it makes you feel very ill. When I did it (I was on 16 mgs, and I left it a full 36hrs after my last dose of subs) I was violently ill, puking and feeling really bad, and pee'd off that I'd just wasted 20 on a hit that not only did I not feel, but made me puke as well.
So, to cut it short, tell your girl that she is wasting her money and probably putting herself into unnecessary withdrawal by taking heroin at the same time as sub. If she just takes her 24 mgs as prescribed, and lets herself settle for 3 or 4 days, she will feel A-OK. It does take a few days for the sub to build up in your system, so you need to be patient for a little while, She shouldn't feel awful, but I had a hard time sleeping for the first 2 days. But subs do completely take away all withdrawal symptoms, and you feel pretty good. Don't take too much, coz subs has a "ceiling" effect, and taking high doses actually makes you feel sort of chemically overloaded and pretty nasty. Don't ever take more than 32mgs.
As far as subs go, I've done 'em to death. I took em for 18months, used with them, reduced off them. And I did get clean through subutex. I tried every other method going. In patient rehabs, methadone, cold turkey, leaving the damned country, home detox, lofexidene, benzo's etc etc. And after nearly a decaded of heroin abuse, I got clean through subutex. So I do know what I'm talking about, and used correctly, they are brilliant. There is no way to avoid the cluck in coming off opiates, but after reducing down from 16mgs all the way to 0.4mg the cluck was nowhere near as bad as full on heroin cluck. And I used them for a long time, and it enabled me to sort my life out, and get a head start of life after heroin. They don't take the place of will power, and sheer determination, but they do enable you to get on with life, without worrying about withdrawals. They have a much longer half life than methadone, so you don't wake up in withdrawals in the morning. In fact, at 24 mgs, they should hold you for about 48 hrs.

hows things geoff,just back from dub/clinic, met lou&her fella gave them the codeines dont think she had much joy with him ,no mate try 10mls&c how u feel.just 2 let ya know lou &her fella looked good&are doin good as far as i could gather.sorry mate i meant she didnt get much from the doctor he got some tabs ive never heard about,she said she would get some info bout them on the net etc,...talk later davey

good for u geoff on the reduction,your sounding stronger everyday,even if u might not feel it.mate the g.f stuff must be wrecking yer head/sounds like shes slacking a bit,but u seem 2 think yhe world of her ,so it must be really tough.travel wise a bus leaves cavan every hr.but depending on traffic etc its 2/2.5 hrs 2 go 70mile bit slow eh,..take care ....davey
