o my god. i have family in galway and cork. im irish american! and my grandparents are from dublin. my moms "black irish" not african american ... lol..u know what that means right? dark hair and dark eyes. i got the dark hair but was blessed with blue eyes! unfortantely i was the first member on both sides of my family to become a junkie! yay for me. :( leave it to courtney to be the first family member to be a herion addict is what my mom says. but im happy now things are goin too good for me to even think about relapsin. do u live near galway, cork or dublin? i dont know where these places are at. how old r u? alrite well 2day is my dogs birthday so ima go hang with him for a minute.. ill chek back in a little while. yes i celebrate my dogs birthday...i cant have kids so hes my world.lol. take care...........courtney

Alrite C,how ya doin girl?......i aint from Galway,Cork ...or Dublin....although ive been to all these places,.I lived in Dublin for a few yrs....and go there twice monthly to a Methadone clinic there so i know plenty bout the underbelly of Heroin central ....which Dublin is.I live in the North West bout 70mls.from Dublin....the place i livin in is called Cavan bout 10miles from the border between Southern Ireland and British controlled Northern Ireland....but all thats changing since the peace aggrement.I understand the term Black Irish.....i lived in Florida in the early 90s....Key West to be exact.......nice place,nice wheather,some weird people but it was mosly good....i worked illegally in a host of jobs.You asked my age im gonna be 39 on the 20th.of this month.....as i said before ive got custody of my 9yr.old daughter so time has gone q

Sorry i hit the post button by accident....but thats were im at now basically.......just in from work i do a 6am to 2pm.shift in a welding works....decent job were i can use long lost skills and learn new ones.C hope yer ex.has laid off you ,ya sound like a sound lady so i only hope the best for you ...ya deserve it....no doubt all ya been thru.Take care babes....all the best as ever..........Davey

whats up davey..how ya doin? i just got out of one of my court ordered drug meetings. thats funny u mention keywest because my buddy wants me to move out there and start my sober life with him. i heard keywest is full of heroin but what place isnt? glad things worked out with u and gettin custody of your daughter. congrats and happy birthday.. gotta go cut my grass real quick. keep ya head up! oh yea do yall have the black tar heroin or the brown powder? my friend lives in arizona and he said u can only get tar...weird,,i thought u could get any type of drug where ever your at. well.take care........

Odd question Courtney...I mean about what kind of heroin you can get...just not feeling comfortable seeing potential triggers on a recovery board...maybe it's me. Hope all's well with you.

Alrite C.......in my experience of The Keys i never saw heroin but i wasnt really lookin for it.....i smoked a lotta weed and had some coke but lead a pretty healthy life over there.....got tannned,fit busy you know the score.About yer Q?about what type of gear we got over here it can range from dark brown powder to creamy white,never done tar but have seen it on t.v....not sumthin i wouldve liked to use....think it comes from Mexico and is of a lower purity.....but as Momn.....said were all trying to look forward not back .Take care Ms.and chat soon alrite.........Davey

Momn.about the footie teams the few most popular are Manchester Utd.,Arsenal F.C,Liverpool and Chelsea......all English teams.....but my fav.team is Scottish Glasgow Celtic.....Eck is the opposite he supports Glasgow Rangers.....both teams have a sumtimes dark history of rivalry......look up there sites and you can check out the shirts.....but of course i would like him to wear the green of Celtic......get back to me..o.k.

MOM,feel like a should maybe jump in here n tell u the grass is not allways greener etc...like Davy being Scottish n Davy Irish we tend to go for Rangers or Celtic,it,s a shame the way two football teams have a kind of dark side in the way that some people follow them.It,s kinda in the way u r brought up with the Catholics supporting Celtic and the Prodestants mostly following Rangers...There was an occassion last year or the year b4 that some sections of the Celtic support were waving Palestine flags so a section of the Rangers fans were waving Israel flags,pretty mad eh?Got a wee feeling u will go for Celtic with the way most americans think they have a bit of Irish in them anyway..lol..Do as Davy say,s though n check out the websites n see for youself.BTW,both team,s have a following worldwide which for a small country like our,s is a bit special.The OLD FIRM as they r called has one of the most explosive and famous derby matches in the world..Take care Mom...Eck..xx

wow! i didnt mean any harm what so ever in askin that. it was just out of curiousity because i was suprised when i found out every state has different stuff so sorry to all i offended.. im in recovery too.....im movin forward like the rest of you..it was just a question. i didnt really consider something like that a trigger because i wasnt glamorizing it or anything. sorry to those who got pissed off.

Nobody got pissed off Courtney, no worries...and no one was offended that i can see. It was just a thought I had and I put it out there... No, you didn't glamorize or war-story...I'm quite happy to know you are out there in recovery...it gives a mom hope =)
