Coming Off The Sub

Hey guys

Well i have the rest of the week off of work. I took my last piece of sub this morning. I dont feel too good right now. I have a VERY bad headache and im very nervous about the upcoming days. Im ready to get this over though. There really is no turning back.

I have been on the sub for 26 days. Im not gonna take it any longer.

I need a a lot of support, im scared very much

Silent partner I heard you know about this/. Please will i be ok, i dont feel well and im scared s***less

All I can say is hang in there and you will get though this OK. The discomfort you are feeling is your body regaining its balance.

Awww, Reddog, you are gonna be okay. Can you take some tylenol or advil? Silent Partner/Sean lives in Australia so he might not be awake right now, but he does know his business when it comes to meds. We are here for you, don't be afraid.

Hey, thanks for helping Reddog out. He's a nice guy and he really is scared chitless right now. Someone told him some horror story about coming off of Sub but I told him that since he has only been on it for such a short amount of time that he should be okay and have nothing like c/t withdrawal.

Reddog will be fine :) We are all scared of what we don't know and what we can't control.

I was going to use a child-birth analogy and how the pain is one that produces a positive outcome ( a child) but as a man who hasn't endured the pain of child birth I shall refrain!

Hang in there and treat your symptoms, you will be OK.

Pam That is why people need to have a concrete relationship with there addiction doctor. Or any doctor who prescribes meds.

I cannot tell you how much I cost myself by being my own doctor.

Reddog, dude, chill out, you are making things worse than you need to.. Honey, this is going to be a walk in the park compared to c/t. Get some Immodium and get some Tylenol and get some benedryl. I swear it can't be that bad.

Jeff, man I'm hearing ya. I'm really kind of glad that I'm not on the Sub after all. Maybe Naltrexone is the answer for me........Chit, I just don't know. But really, I think that Reddog is making this out to be worse than it really is. Please encourage him. I've already told him to stay in touch with his sub doctor.

Thanks Pam, i need all the encouragement I can get. The guy on the other borad just freaked me out and made sub out to be like methadone. I mean I just did the vics, no oxy or heroin, im worried i made things worse by doing the sub detox.

Please I need a lot of words of encouragement

You haven't made things worse, it will be like one twentieth of what c/t would have been. Have some faith in yourself, your Dr and the good people here. CHILL!

Reddog, stay your arse off of that other forum and hang in here with us. Listen, I came off of Oxycontin in January with NOTHING and I lived to talk about it.

I want you to get good and pissed off with your addiction. When you get pissed, if you are like me, then you aren't afraid of anything and you will get past this. This w/d should be nothing like Methadone withdrawal and look, you have only taken this Sub for 20 some odd days. That is not very long at all. I swear, I don't see how it could be as bad as coming off of the Vics c/t. I know it is not going to be that bad. Take the Clonidine if you just have to. Email me too and I'll talk to you some more there. CALM DOWN, CALM DOWN,CALM DOWN.......... We Care............

How much are you jumping off of reddog? its not going to be that bad---some fatigue and sweats. stop freaking out. you did an oxy ct--you can do anything!!
this will be easier than coming off hydros--- you werent on it that long. what kind of symptoms are you having???

Fire, No he wasn't on Oxy, I was, he was on vicoden......He is down under 1mg of sub.........

hey red,i feel for ya,but ya gotta go calm be calm be calm ,let it turn into something else,i got sum comtrex,pills from dollar store,they work good,mosty tylonal an dextromorthan,but dunno if u can take that,lord,ive had sum bad wds,before,thing we all have,thing is i cant get up and go for walk, im paralized arms down,walk be nice, but hang in there buddy,jump in hot tub ,wild

ok under 1 mg??? piece of cake-- youll see--- my friend was on it a little over a month. after he was off he had trouble getting going in the morning, that was about the only complaint i heard. And he was on heroin, oxy's, and methadone-

Oh chit, sorry he didn't tell me that one.........Dang, and he is sweating this one out..........Noway Hosay is he gonna have that bad of a problem......Chit, Oxy is the worst ever besides Methadone and I have never done any Methadone, thank God.........
