You are such an inspiration to me. Congrats on getting four months of Recovery time under your belt. This is a big milestone. I know that it has been hard but you did it girlfriend and I am so proud of you. Can you tell everyone how you did it? Maybe give others some hope and let them know how good it feels. I love you, Kat. Now buckle down and give me another four cause I know that you have it in you. You are the best friend that I have ever known and I thank God everyday for bringing you into my life. Your honesty and caring heart is what makes you one of a kind. Remember that I will always be here for you, no matter what.

Since I came on to post real quick - had to send you a big (((((((HUG))))))))) girl. Four months!!!!! You rock girl. Give me time to get back on my feet and hopefully (again) I will be right behind you soon!!!!

You are the best - all the best to you. You must be so proud of yourself - what a terrific Christmas present. I know I am VERY proud of you girl.:o)

Hi guys, thank you all so much! You are all the most wonderful friends and I'm so grateful to have you. To answer the question of how I did it, I don't think I have done it yet. I don't believe I'll ever feel like I've made it and I think maybe that might be the thing that keeps me clean. I do know that I would have never made it this far without my friends here, my higher power, and NA. Merry Christmas everybody! Love you all, Kat

Thank you John, not an unusual story for around here, I don't think. Started out taking lorcets recreationally, (and on a few occassions out of necessity). Found my doc quickly. Used for over eight years. I truly didn't know a thing about addiction other than that I was addicted. Typed in something.....addiction I think, and ended up here. I lurked for awhile, then treaded in. I got some no nonsense love and advice and took it. This place just a jump start for me. I watched the people on here who had clean time and wanted to know what they knew. If you're going to do it, do it right, I thought. I tapered, failed....just kept right on tapering. I would STILL be tapering if I hadn't flushed them. I changed my playgrounds and playmates, started meetings. Went to AA first, then switched to NA. I tend to push either one....just pick one and go, I say. I met some awesome folks here, developed friendships that help keep me clean.......and make me laugh. I have to give alot of credit to Sharon. She was the first to thump me on the head, and she's still thumping. Just kidding, Sharon. Actually, there are so many people here that helped make a difference for me. I hope someday I can give it back and make a difference for somebody too. Merry Christmas, love, Kat
