Hi Con, how have you been? I was thinking about you today, wondering how you were and how your wife's job was going?
I went the last 3 weeks drug and alcohol free. I almost quit smoking cigs too! I relapsed Monday night, bought a bunch of pills and took them in 2 days. Quitting again today. I'm pretty upset, but sitting around sulking about it wont do sh*t, so I just have to get my but back on track. This is the first time EVER that I went more then more then a few days sober so I am ecstatic about the 3 weeks. Hey, at least I know I can do it. Well I hope all is well on your side of the pond. All the best to you and your wife.

Hey Terrapin !! Damn; three weeks is great !! Your doing fantastic; minus the one day...took me a whole bunch of times of going back and forth to being able to stay for more than a month clean...your doing great !! Im doing ok I think; things are getting to a routine sort of; she comes home on weekends; i dont like all that much but; damn; im glad shes working...it was really playing on her head being out of work so long...so im glad for her; and of course im glad we"ll have a little money too..:)...its a constant battle though i fight with myself; nights get long and I start thinking...which is never good..ha ha...its always one day at a time...started going back to my meetings; glad i did; they help so much...its so hard sometimes to try and relate to people who dont know anything about it...its like playing charades sometimes ; going to the meetings makes me feel like i can drop my guard a bit and relax into being just me...addict and all :)...other than that...well...decorating it up for the holidays, i love to decorate ...christmas is always way fun for me...lights, holly...the colors...pine....the smell of cookies...been baking like a wild thing latley...my wfe can hardly beleive it..!! ha ha...Im not a cook so she totally thinks ive lost it..!! but i just like baking; so ive been baking cookies and muffins and breads and bringing them to work..:)...how is your man doing ?...and how are YOU doing with it ?...you sound pretty ok; one slip is nothing...just brush yourself off...pick up that china doll :)....thinking of you too Terrapin and hoping things are smiling for you :) Thanks for the shout out! :)

Hi Con, I wanted to wish you a happy 2009! How were the holidays for you and your wife? I hope all is well!
I'm doing ok, I already got a new job so I'm really excited about that. I thought I would be out if work for a while considering the economy and unemployment rate. I got pretty lucky! Well take care and again, happy 2009!
