Hi Marie...you're so thoughtful to ask about my meeting. It was a bust. I guess the holiday puts people in different places. There was only one other guy that showed so we waited around to see if any new people showed. They didn't, so I came home. Really needed to be there tonight. But that's ok, I sometimes wonder if God is testing me right now to be strong. I can do that.
Just so you know, no one got kicked out of the room we were all in today. It's an open message board that Sammy runs. Anyone can join as long as you have a desire to be clean and limit your talk to recovery. This board used to be that way when I first joined.
I'm really sorry that my thread got closed. Too bad. I needed help, asked for it and got it. So I guess that's all that matters.

Well, your very welcome Lisa. I think some got confused about the site or chat room. Sammy and Bob helped out by posting a link.
I'm sorry the meeting was a bust, but at least you got out and had some time to think about whats really bothering you. I also made a commitment to myself (in the holiday spirit), to try to stay positive on this board and hope that others join in and do the same. Wouldnt that be great? A recovery guide actually focusing on recovery would be wonderful, wouldn't it?

Thanks Marie. It was good to get out and get a little air tonight. Sometimes just being quiet in the car gives me time to think better than any other place.
Wouldn't that be something if this was a recovery board where people actually talked recovery and cared about one another? It probably is a pipe dream at this point because of all the past hurts that people can't or won't let go of. But hey, we can try, can't we?

Good morning All.Well it looks like a bomb went off here at my home.Why is it that if I dont keep up on it every sec it looks like my house has a stomach flu(Yuck)

So yesterday my oldest talked me into seeing the movie "Rent"OMG she sat there crying through the damn thing.Its a musical.Now to me a musical is like...Hair,Sound of Music ya know.It was a very deep movie though.Its about a year in the life of a couple people living & dying of Aids.It was good but a movie you really had to think about.
Anyways its clean up day for me so Ill be busy for a bit.
I know at 1pm Im suppose to look for someone on here so Ill be back later.
