She was discharged this morning to go back to the nursing home. It's really tough...on top of having dementia, alzhiemers and mental illness, she's blind.
Not sure how much longer the nursing home will keep her because she poses such a fall risk. Hence the hospital stay, she has fallen 9 days ago and broke her little nose.
My husband isn't handling all of this very well and things around here are tense at best. Really wish the holidays would just get over with.

She's 84. It is so incrediably sad.

My moms friend has dementia and I knew her when she didnt. She was so fun and the life of the party. Her husband dropped her off at a nursing home after 45 years of marriage and took off to Arizona without her. All she has is friends to visit her. That is sooooooo mean. He took all the money (have lots) and he made her quit smoking (wouldnt give her money) he is pretty famous but cant say his name. Just a horrible way to go...her daughters are into there horses and never go see her. She went from a first class lady to living in hell with locked elevators and locked doors with bared windows. Alone. It is nice that your seeing her alot.
