How's things?
My last drink was going to be a bottle of weed killer but i kept gettin to drunk to drink it...being a pisshead saved my life NO WAY being an attention seeker did as i realised yeah there is a lot of attention at the funeral but thats it. So i got into recovery and found out i wasnt alone and i wasnt evil.
I fired my old god and found a new one (livin sober).
The gratitude I have for life now is endless and every time i hear or read recovery my gratitude pot fills up and can be drawn out of when times are tough.
Dont get me wrong i can still be a a****** but i now can say sorry and i dont have to save it all up for a binge.
Also i cant blame alcohol for my actions any more as a lot of crap in my life was worked out before i got drunk. Life is scary at times but not as scary as me when im drunk.
When i drank i was whoever i thought the person next to me wanted me to be and i had the morals of an alley cat. I only played music that everyone liked and the only song i knew lyrics to was "Im a Creep Im a Weirdo" by Radiohead that was to be my suicide song. now i love listening to lyrics of all songs.
To any one that is struggling put as much effort into recovery as you did to getting drunk/stoned/whatever and the benefits are endless.
