Hi everyone, Dad ended up in the hospital, he had a reaction to one of the chemo drugs... and it was tough actually getting him admitted, no beds available!! please keep him in your prayers..

LD - I hope everything gets better for your father and yourself. My step-dad lost his father on Monday and I am going to be going to the viewing tomorrow. I can't even imagine the emotions that are going to be running tomorrow. I will keep you in my prayers and I hope you are praying too. It is a tough thing to go through, wish you the best.

Good Morning my dear friends, I have a few minutes before I go back to the hospital so I thought I would let you all know how things are going... Well Dad is still in, he may get out today, his blood platelets are really low, and he just feels so weak, he had a bad reaction to Prednisone, it's a really strong steriod, and because of his years of drinking his liver is not in good shape so he just couldn't handle it. I've been there everyday with my mom, it's so hard seeing him like this, I just feel so sad. I just pray he is strong enough for his next round of chemo in a couple of weeks, or he won' get it. The real s***ty thing about this is the doctors knew he reacted last time to Prednisone, we told them that, but they didn't listen!! and to finally get a bed around here was horrible! they kept sending him home, and he just kept going back!! UNREAL!! seems like we live in a third world country for goodness sake!! I took a Lorazapam last night to help me calm down and to get some sleep, sure helped I know those pills can be bad as well, so I'll limit my intake. Oh guys thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers! It hasn't been easy that's for sure, I've taken the week off and my bank account sure reflects that! glad my clients are understanding. Thinking about you all, and how grateful I am to have you all here!
