This comcast is crazy. I got the bundle package phone, digital t.v. and high speed internet. I just went to aol.com to check all of my mail and tried to retreive yours and I can't bring it up. How do I view all of my mail or im on comcast? I hate change. I cancelled aol but they let me keep my e-mail address. Does it now change to smittyx03@comcast.net? Shantel
When you cancled AOL, it wiped out your account of mail that was saved (unless you saved it to your PC..saved to AOL is the default though). This is true. I believe this is true, even if you keep the email address, It resets things. Your new address needs to be set up in Outlook. I sent you a test email to smittyx03@comcast.net and it bounced back so it's not set up. Smittx03@aol.com did not bounce back, so check that. Also, you could of kept AOL 100%. You didn't need to cancel. All you needed to do was change your billing to "free high speed" and you no longer have to pay for it. Full AOL is free for people with a broadband connection. They should of told you that when you talked to them.
Danny, I saw your e-mail come in to smittyx03@aol.com but couldn't open it. This is so frustrating. I'm gonna see if I can access it on the computer when I get to work. Why do people swear by this comcast high speed internet? I was quite content with aol. All I know how to do on this stupid computer at this point is get onto this site. Can you im or have a buddy list on comcast like on aol? I was so pissed last night I'm lucky I still have a computer I was getting ready to throw it in the trash. I won't even get into the digital t.v. thing. I have learned how to turn on the t.v. and flip through the channels but thats about it. The remote control has about a million buttons on it. The only good thing about this bundle deal is the phone at least I know how to answer it when it rings. Guess it's time to get out the manuel and actually read it. Thanks, Shantel

I like comcast simply for the high speed. You were on dial up before, right? I've been on high speed or a T1 for over a decade now and it would be hard to use dialup again. Like I said, you can still use AOL WITH Comcast, and access it high speed (which is really nice). And like I said, it's free that way. I don't pay a dime for FULL AOL. I rarely use my Comcast email and still to AOL email.
You can IM using AIM messenger (AOL's stand alone messenger) or Yahoo messenger.
What I recommend is using AOL High Speed. It's free, it's AOL and you are used to it.
