Hey all. How is everyone?
We're back on the subs again and on day 3 so starting to feel a bit better today after a pretty grim weekend. Problem is, we are broke just now and it's just so easy to stay clean when you have no money to go and score. The problem we always face is when the pay hits the bank, we always buckle and go and score. What can I do differently this time (answers on a postcard by Thursday night please)!!! Lol. I'm laughing here but being deadly serious. How do you break the cycle? I'm not even missing it at the moment but again, that's becuse I know I can't have any, the real test is when I can.

Hey! Day 4 now, doing ok too. Not missing H at all, just a littled bored but at least I have my job etc. and now that winter's hit Scotland big time, no interest in going out at night!!!
Sorry if I'm asking questions all the time, I just wondered how you all got where you are now. I'd do anything to be 6 months down the line!

Hey Linz, Congrats on the clean time ! :) Cant say much for others or how people break the cycle...for me, it was picking up the phone and calling in a support group...landed myself in a AA group that also has plenty of its share of addicts in it too..there are no NA groups out here close to me...but I knew I would not be able to break the cycle alone...no way...too use to using...it helps to focus on something else for me...cant say I am the perfect 12 stepper right now but it does help to have something to work for...keeps me occupied in a way...off the streets trying to score...i call my sponsor if I think I might be heading down that road again...which is often latley..but I get through...one day at a time...some of the stuff they say in the meetings are helpful...youve done so well...maybe pick up the phone and find yourself a safety net before pay day :) ...good luck Linz ! Im at 5 months clean now and still cant beleive it !! Hugs to you and your spousal unit :)
