Diff actually took her leave of ARG about two or three years ago after writing a lovely goodbye post saying the board had served its purpose in her recovery and that it was time to move on. She is well and happily raising her children and generally enjoying life.
How are you Mary? I remember your story well.
Diff is so dearly missed :( . I am also VERY glad she is doing so well. I think it has been a over year that she even gave us a quick update.
Thanx to all you 'old timers' that have walked upon these Boards back in the day...well back in my day or should i say daze.
Physically...i am a wreck....in a wheel chair...can't walk...in and out of hospitals and physical rehabilitation institutions...i am on so much medication and so depressed i feel like offing myself most of the time...almost did but called the suicide hot line instead..
For those who remember me...i would have had almost 23 years clean but i continued to hang out with that evil old ex bf who continuted to wheel and deal...but i thought i was immune because i had all that clean time..
Well my cockiness led to relapse and i was back to abusing as much as i was almost 23 years ago...in the first day...not let alone the first hour.
At present i have a 1 year and almost 9 months clean and i gave up cigarettes 6 months ago too.....man my craving for cigs is worse than the substance by choice i abused.
I guess my inquiry about Diff's whereabouts will remain a mystery but i am sure Diff is fighting the fight or just fighting wherever she is...God bless her

I was wondering...now that pot has started to be legalized in some States...does that mean you can smoke it to keep the cravings of heroin at bay. What does NA say about this....is it still considered a gateway drug?
