I have 3 small nodules which don't appear to be malignant..history if benign fibroadenomas...had a huge one cut out and left me quite disfigured(hence breast implants) now although my mammo.is ok, the sonogram shows these lumps...first radiologist wasn't too concerned..said to wait and watch.I was having a perfectly good day yesetrday when the plastic surgeon's office called to see iff I had followed up(3rd call) I'm thinking they are concerned..they want to cut them out of course!!! I have another ultrasound this A.M., and unless it is absolutely necessary..I want to be left alone..biopsy=pain=pain pills...NO! I have 15 days today....they are so worried about covering their as*es that they scare the hell out of you....Tony doesn't understand why I am so upset over a biopsy...1st...$$$$$ I don't have anymore...pain meds...It is too painful the first day to take motrin...I know I'm jumping the gun here, but if it does't grow and look like cancer...WTH!!!! I do not think I have ever posted to you before, I have had benign tumors removed from my breasts as well, but before I allowed my first biopsy, I got a second opinion, I actually got three, then allowed the first one to go for it.
Both of my breasts are ridden with Calcifications, one specialist wanted to remove both breasts, and or start Tamoxifin, (female doctor) right away, I chose to not do this. Until I hear the word Cancer, my pups stay where they are.
If you need pain meds for it, take them. They will only give you either 6- or 12 hardly enough to relaspe. I would tell them if pain pills are needed to give you just enough to get you through the day or two days.
I didn't need anything in terms of pain meds after the biospy, I just took advil and a ton of it. Ice packs/heat pad. Only the site was sore.
If there is ever a time where you will have to have major surgery, then what are you going to do? I know what I will do, I will take pain meds if I need them. I suffer for no one.
Praying things turn out well this morning for you..

Sharonn, so sorry to hear this...i have the same problem, lotsa fibrocysts...had one removed so far, I started taking Evening Primrose and Vitamin E and it seems to be helping, they aren't hurting anymore...

i am really sorry you have to go through all this crap, try and stay posative, i know easier said then done. but sometimes you have to roll with the punches, god never gives us more then we can handle. i will be praying for you. you are definately one way stronger woman then i am. keep venting away. it helps to talk and you know you have friends here who care and love for you ((((((BIG HUGS)))) my prayers are being sent your way. stay strong.

Good morning, Sharon. Man, you've sure had a run of unfortunate luck. I'm amazed at your perserverance. I'd be in the bed with the covers pulled up over my head. You will prevail. I have no doubt. I've had a few scares with lumps in my breasts. My problems were calcification. My mom has the same problem. The first thing I plan on doing after the first of the year, is getting a reduction. They are no longer an asset, but more like a pain in the @ss. Try not to worry ahead of time. I know that's easier said than done, but stressing over it will make you feel worse. Keep your chin up.

Hey guys...had the ultrasound and the same nice woman did it(she did my pelvic) She isn't supposed to say anything, buut she tells me...she didn't see much change...dense area and cyst..tiny fibroadenoma...Whew!!!!! The damned surgeon who did my implants wants to make more $$$..Oh well...so happy cause since nothing has changed they will most likely recommend leaving it alone...Yay!!!!! Trying to stay off pain pills.....Wench..how are you feeling? Are you getting enough potassium? Hey DeNae..How's the school thing going? If you are considering a reduction..well I had a full lift(same scars) and small implants(boobs were big before) and it was no day at the beach..a long recuperation.OWWWW!!!!! But I look less "deformed" and feel good about it...gave me more confidence to go on stage....do what is right for you....Love you, S
