Ok everyone, Danny posts a scary story about his wife beating him up and the thread ends up being about kid's movies?
Arent' we here to help each other? Shouldn't the topics be helpful info about recovery and advice and support?
Does anyone else think that topcs not related to addiction should be covered thru private e-mails?

I aggree addict mom, it is realllly serious, and i feel that Danny needs all of our support right know more than ever!! Danny is a sweet, sweet man who is a close friend of mine, so lets be there for him!!! Thanks mom....

If we did it that way Mom, that would cut the posts by about 90%. Im not saying yeah or nay, just what I think would happen. In fact this post would never happen.

Don't know how many people would hang around if it was all shop talk all the time......Posts like Browndog's and Danny's about the band break up a lot of tension that we all have. There are so many life changes that we are all going through, on both sides of the fence.......All of an addicts behavior has to change new friends, haunts.....You can come on and get help or a laugh........Yes some posts off topic are serious, or petty fights....but this is life, and sometimes we are the only ones that people trust for advice.........Sounds stange I know but there really are a lot of lonely people out there. Some only tell the board they are addicted and no one else.....How hard their lives must be.....no one to talk to about what they are going through......

I go in the 21of jan. for the exploring the stomach, then i'am hitting the sub doc wide open!!!!!!!!!! If the is nothing wrong with my gallbadder then i'll have to wait till they remove it, the doc said its not a good idea to be on sub, and be sedative. Thanks for talking to me tonight, iwas afraid to post earlier, to much drama!

I truely believe alittle sweet thought and true honest with recovery is good for our minds ,, and what ever works for those people is all that matters we all want to be needed and surly loved poopie

I've been really thinking about this subutex,will I need to take time off work to do this or is it a miracal detox?I cant take the stomach cramps and the creepy crawly feeling i get when im without pain meds.

Lucy, hey thats my sisters name. I worked through it no problem but I wouldnt call it a miracle drug. It does come with its withdrawals when you quit, although very minor compared to most opiates and everyone handles it differently. The lower the dose you start on the better.

Addictmom my way of thinking is that in between each sentance there is a lesson to learn, sometimes people are hurting real bad and have their own way of reflecting that and maybe someone will reconise that fact and be there to offer a helping hand, also its the general chit chat that enables you to get to know someone. I do agree with your opinion though but as someone said this is life. other then that how are you doing hun???????? jackie xxx

I said the same thing yesterday.. i thought the thread was just basically an attention drawer.. I personally along with a few other members of this board thought it was inapporpriate, and in ways false. I dont know why he even questioned something like that, you either know if you are or arent going to call the police.. I guess he got what he wanted though, i think it was over 700 views, and 100 responses, to a totally irrelovant thread.. iN the future Danny please keep that between you, your kids and your significant other.
