well it is day whatever still cleanand sober,,,1 of my freinds died last night
41 years old someone told him it was like ten perks,,at least thats what his wife says poor girl...he licked or ate or whatever the patch,,layed down and just died she called 911 but he was gone by the time they got there,,,my message is this dont mess with those patches they will kill you

That's aweful, I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. I used to eat those patches over a year ago. I felt like I was going to die. They are so damn strong. I didn't eat the whole patch at once though. Didn't take much to make you feel like you're oding. Again, My condolences to you.

Liz, that is scarey...Your lucky to be here by the sound of it. I have never had a patch or heard of anyone I know using a patch so this sounds off the hook to me.

I know Wiwerson, I'm lucky to be here. My husband taught me how to do that. We got boxes on top of boxes of that stuff from my brother when his wife died. We told him that my husband needed them because he ran out of his pain medication. My husband showed me how to do it and it was so strong. I wouldn't suggest to anyone to do that. I'm grateful that it didn't kill me. I seriously thought I was going to die from it more then once. Why did I do it? I have no idea. Guess just because I'm an addict.

i am sorry about your friend, that hits close to home for all addicts. i am guilty of eating that crap in the past as well. i am grateful for everyday i have clean. thank you for reminding me how lucky i am as well.

Liz, I never did that particular thing, but I'm sure I would have if given the opportunity. I had the tolerance of an elephant and thought I was nothing less than a sponge. I did have a healthy respect for benzos but mainly because I was less able to hide the effects.
I'm so glad you're here to tell the tale. The world would be a much less beautiful place without you.

Hey Steve I am sorry to hear that.You have my condolences.But I have never even heard of those patches what are those things?And why would people eat them?
People eat those for the same reason people abuse pills, drink, smoke dope or snort. Because they are addicts.
Steve, I am terribly sorry about your friend. Such a tragedy. I am glad this strengthens your resolve even more. Glad to hear you are staying sober. Thank you for sharing this horrible story, it could be saving someone else's life.
