Drama Triangle

Sorry Astrella...just a bump of an oldie but goodie, no Bob B~sniff~

Hope this evening finds you fine and dandy

Kerry
The drama triangle is exactly what I went through with my ex bf. He'd use, I'd run to him and console him. Then as soon as he felt better and more hopeful, this anger would build up inside of me. I'd give him the cold shoulder, I'd drive off in a rush.
God it's insane how so much of our relationship was textbook...my enabling, his lying and manipulation, and the drama triangle. It's weird to see that there's actual terms for the stuff I went through, stuff I thought no one else could know.

Last word...
More like a pentagon but I lost count of the numbers.
Thanks for this Bob, always good to have a reminder, and this was timely. I need to keep remembering that it's his RIGHT to have those responsibilites...would be doing him no favours by taking them away. Hard sometimes...just want to help! Fine line though isn't it...as long as we don't take away the responsibility, then it's ok to be supportive...right?

Hardhead, take care of yourself. You are a kind and generous soul and you want to see the best in people. It is ok to enjoy his company...on your terms...set and stick to your boundaries...know what you want and if this isn't it then have the courage to say so. Loneliness is horrible. But you are worth treating well...and someone will. Don't be too quick to trust. And learn to enjoy the solitude too...

Bless you
Maddy x
