Last night I dreamed I was at a friend's house who was hurt and she had a bottle of percs (90 pills) with 6 refills! I took 4 of them, opened my aspirin bottle to put the percs in, and spilled pills everywhere. I got them all cleaned up, put the 4 percs in my pocket, and that's all I remember.
Can't even get away from the addiction when I'm asleep!

yeah they are just dreams, nothing to worry about or feel guilty over. they cant harm you. i have even had dreams wher i have taken my doc and copped a buzz in my dream. i knew it was all just a dream. i didnt feel guilty or dwell on it. its just part of the process. i havent had one in months now that i think about it. i sorta used to like when i had a using dream and copped a buzz it was like haven a wet dream hehehe ok sorry that mighta been a bit crude and vinny like a lil too much info.

I never took the pills in my dream - I was having too much guilt. I just put them in my pocket for "later" when I really needed them!!! Even in my dream I was in denial!!

all the planets are lined up for me or something cause i am so happy and at peace these day. i feel so awesome and i have been so productive. life is treating me great!!! i'm not even annalysing it i am just rolling with it and spreading the wealth wherever possable. i wish i knew how it came about i would tell you all the secret and pass it out for free even : )

Dreams are like Boo said, just dreams. It was your inner addict voice that was speaking to you. That voice gets harder to hear the longer you are clean. The devil works us pretty good. Perhaps you are being successful with your inner voice during the day but he snuck those thoughts in there when you had no control.

Speaking of dreams: I dreamed last night that I was at a wedding. Maybe some of you that are a little older (such as myself shhh) have heard this. Ever hear that if you dream about a wedding someone is going to die?
And if you dream about someone dying, someone close to you is pregnant? I have always heard that. Curious if any of ya'll have. I like ol'wives tales.

I read somewhere that dreams are either our wishes or our fears..perhaps in this case..it was both.
6 weeks into this and i havent had a dream about any pills thankfully,but...for over 2 years i stuck very very closely to the atkins diet,lost "ALOT" of weight,i dreampt about food all the time(actually eating it,cake,pie,cookies,etcc... all the things i loved,lol)! I would wake up in a cold sweat scared to death i had ruined my diet and the scale would climb back up.So i think this is very normal to dream about these types of things.~KIM
Hi Betsy, I've had strange drug dreams a time or two. I guess using was a part of our life and our thinking for so long, it just makes sense we'd at some point dream about them. I don't think there's any real meaning behind it. Pills are just in our memory and it shows up sometimes. Don't lose any sleep over it......haha, little joke. Love, Kat
Dear Betsy its been since Jan since I took my DOC & I still have those crazy dreams.I even still feel them in my dreams.Our minds are the hardest things to try & figure,You can spend a lifetime trying to figure the hows & whys we think as we do & youll still never know all the answers.I can only say you need to just try *& ride them out without them making you crazy......mj

All you have now are little purse carrying men and parents are always made out to be so stupid. I must admit, however, Spongebob is pretty funny if you read between the lines, very adult oriented.

I have had "pill dreams" ,more than once. In the dreams I have had it is just like you said it. I never actually took the meds just found a big bottle,counted and was very excited. Then when I woke up I would get mad it was only a dream. One time I had a dream I found about 200 blue(lortab)..woke up disappointed. I think every addict has had a dreams about finding pills... So it's fairly common... I am very proud of you by the way! You have come along way....All the best to you and your recovery! Rae
