Drug Dreams? Does Anyone Know About This?

I've been reading through some posts and i've come across a few mentions of "drug dreams" can anyone explain this to me? i've never heard of it before.

Hi , yeah its normal in recovery, in rehab i had a drug dream that i found a vic the size of a baseball and boy did i think i scored, isnt that funny... so yeah its normal...

yeah, I have had some pretty weird dreams about pills. Finding bottles, robbing a pharmacy, having tons of script to fill, a room filled with pills... I could go on and on. I think that is when I feel the most normal, when I am in one of those dreams. When I wake up, I just want to shut my eyes and go back to it. lol

Anna- Completely normal. I have. It happens. This is from a guy who a year ago was normal. And YES, I've now had dreams about it. It's the drugs way of working their way into your mind. It's like a snake, wrapping itself around you. Very normal. Rest assured. Remeber the picture you see of both an Angel and the Devil on your shoulders, and both are saying stuff into your ear? Well, the only way I can put it is when you are addicted, that Angel is gone, and you have TWO Devils talking to you....on both shoulders...so the dreams are normal

I had a dream before entering treatment that I was in treatment, and still sneaking pills there...lol. Must have been the addict dictating the dream...

I have had weird dreams too....finding handfulls of pills, getting in trouble for scoring, getting caught, going to my hiding place and it being empty, etc. It's normal and it sucks.

Even after 7 months, I still have drug dreams. I wake up feeling shaky and sick and then get my butt to a meeting.

Well even after years... if you add stress and a little bad carma... I still have them... but I dont want the dream to continue when I wake up ... I feel guilty as heck because for that split second it feel like I really did use...

They say that those dreams arent usually a sign of any reservation but a sign or like danny said that the addiction is trying to get a foot hold again.... or keep the one that it has...

Just dont let the feeling that come with the dream like analysing it rent too much space... it is normal ...it will decrease in time... and move on...
