My husband has been using heroin for at least 7 years now. I finally had enough and filed for divorce. My biggest argument was that he is an active user. We have two kids and I don't want him to be around them when he is using. He was ordered to take the hair follicle test on October 3rd. He refused to go the first time when he was contacted by the testing facility. When he finally went his hair was not long enough because he trimmed the hair on his entire body. On October 30 he was ordered again to take the test. He never went. Once again on Dec 1 he was ordered to get the test done. I just got the test results and he passed it. I just can't belived that he passed. On regular basis I would find text messages between him and his drug dealer. As recently as the pass Sunday I found aluminium foil with drugs in it. How is it possible that he passed the test? There are many products on the internet that will help you pass the test but do they really work? If any one can help answer the question I would apprieciate. Thanks
An addict would need to be clean for ~18-24 hours+ to pass a drug test (if they are testing for opiates). That is unusual for an addict - to be clean that long.
Some addicts get some "clean urine" and pass it into the testing vessel. They either save the urine from their brief dry spells or get it from another person. If the test is not monitored then this is easy. If the test IS monitored, some have created devices using bags (to hold clean urine) and tubes (to tape to his schwanz) to avoid detection.
You would me amazed how creative people can be to fake a test. Usually the testers are aware of these tactics. So, I guess I would first check to make sure the test is closely monitored.
Unless he changes direction via treatment and recovery, he WILL fail a drug test eventually.

Dear Flyboy,You didn't read the letter she stated a hair follicle test not a urine test.....I know for a hair follicle test any use of opiates will remain on the hair shafts for at least six months.
..so I suspect that is the reason he shaved his hair so short..and also shaved the hair off his body.....cause if they did it on the hair that was there quite possibly he would've failed...now it also takes time for it to appear on the hair follicle...I would ask for another test....You have found the evidence he's as dirty as the day is long..
