My boyfriend is going for a drug test tomorrow to prove to me that he hasn't been using. What I want to know is if it's possible to detox or how long does it take for the drug to get out of your system? or is there a way you can 'con' the test? I really need to know this.

Hannah, It depends on how intensive the test is...a quick check for substances may not show whether there is anything there. In my outpatient group the urine was sent off to a lab that ran extensive tests and reported levels of drugs. They also could screen for the many substances that people use to "flush" themselves out. I went into the ER and they ran the quick check with showed no drugs.

Thank you for replying. This makes me now more worried cos then the test won't 'prove' anything. Do the home drug test kits give accurate results or is it the same as the quick check you were talkin about?
