A lot of people have found help & salvation from drugs through faith in Jesus. You often hear or read some stories or books written by people which are questionable. But I have known at least 2 people, 1 who even I would have classified as 'incurable' (& coming from me that says a lot) and another who was a hard core crack addict. I do believe that G-d has performed a miracle in their lives.
If you like those kind of songs, you might want to check out Larry Norman. He was from a while ago, but his stuff is still on the net. Kind of like a Bob Dylan of the'Jesus Freak" (being a Jesus Freak was not negative back then, freak was a cool thing) type. One of his songs I still remember most of the lyrics to:
