Dsam.....

Sammy...
I read on another thread how a friend in recovery lost their child to addiction and my prayers go out to them, their family and friends and their lost child...I am sorry to read this as a mother who is in recovery, I too have a child lost in addiction and every morning I pray for those still struggling and lost, that they find just a bit of hope....as a parent it can be heartbreaking but for me, I turn my son over to God every morning and ask for him to take care my son as I know he is God's child.

My condolences to your friend and to all those spirits whom have lost someone to addiction/alcoholism....

God bless,
Stacey
sweet spirit stacey ~

thank you so much for your words of comfort that you have extended to juan and his family. juan has been a paramount member as far as the love and support he has so freely given to all at pills anonymous. his precious daughter was also a member and she will be missed by many.

if you get a chance, and this goes to any of you who would like to lend some support to juan and his family during this sad and difficult time, please come to pills anonymous and post to him. the title of the thread is "i hate this disease!!!".

sunday i spoke with juan and he asked me to invite all who are interested to come to the PA site and lend him their experience, strength, hope, support, and love. he told me although he is not posting much, he is checking in. the kindness, compassion, and love that is being conveyed to him on the message board fills him with much spiritual sustenance.

juan works an awesome program of recovery and of course he has his f2f support (sponsor and program friends) surrounding him. however, juan started his journey of recovery online and profoundly cherishes the message of recovery that we learn and share.

to get to PA general board, you can click on this link:

http://groups.msn.com/PillsAnonymou...us/general.msnw

this is a msn group, so if you are not a member, you will be prompted to set up a user ID name and hotmail or msn account, in order to post. it's really quite easy to do this. i know there a quite a few members here who post on this board regularly who are also members of pills anonymous. within the past 6 months, juan has lost his mother and mother-in-law to death (not addiction related)...now his daughter. he emailed me saturday, prior to learning of his daughter's death, and told me this was already a difficult christmas for his family to experience due to the fact that his mom and his wife's mom would obviously not be there. he has given me permission to share this with you, and to the moderators of this site, i apologize in advance if bringing something from one board to another is a no-no to your policy. it is a rare situation or circumstance that i would do this; nevertheless, our brother, juan, wants all the love and support that is available to him during this most bereaved and sorrowful time for him and his family.

thank you again, sweet stacey for your acute awareness and you too littlebeach/kerry. i read your message to me in another thread. your kindness has lifted my spirit and i'm sure it will juan's too.

love ~

I am too, so sorry for his loss. Lots of strong thoughts and prayers headed his way. I know you tried to get ahold of me last night Sam, so if now's a good time, IM me. xxoo
Sammy,
Thank you for the invitation to the PA site and I have tried before to log on but unfortunately, I only have access on-line while at work and that site is blocked by surf control.....

Please express my condolences for me...even though we may have not met yet, we are bonded by this journey of recovery and my heart is sadden by his loss as I am fully aware it's by God's grace that I am still here and that my son is okay today...when I am able, I will come and visit the PA site....

Take care,
xoxo
Stacey
